So i have 5 8x exp tome, i planned to use them today, but since the game is run by blind people (and by blind i mean that they don’t have a clue as to what has to do with the lag or why every update breaks the game), the whole day has been nothing but fu**ing immense lag, and now all my exp tomes are expiring, and guess what, they’re not gonna compensate me, why, cuz they only compensate exploiters/abusers.

Since he’s playing at Silute (from the Portuguese on chat window) I can asure you he’d had more than enough time if servers hadn’t been acting up for more than 11 hours now.
The emergency maint finished at 9 AM BRT and it’s almost 9 pm at the time of his post, so yeah we’ve basically lost a whole day already in terms of “playable hours”.
i’ve been trying to play the game all day, or do you think the lag has only just started ?

They got it from one of the recent events for newbies, not really certain which one myself as I haven’t been a newbie in a long long time

well excuse me sir, some of us has jobs/university/irl stuff that comes as priority, i did however take today off to play the hell out, but, this lag stopped me from enjoying the game and using the tomes.

I find it rude that they put expiration dates on every single thing. They have no respect for our time and not enough love in their hearts. I want my handouts to last forever so that they can be a constant reminder that I’m loved by IMC but they refuse. ;;
Use one and log out, you can hit 317 from the position you are at right now on one set of 290 runs.
Once you use the tome it won’t drop if you are logged out, in a town, or in a dungeon queue.

The LAG is BAD. Blaming people for using things IN THE GAME. IMC should feel ashamed. Disgusting!
Then people grew up an realized they can’t spend 16 hours a day farming and grinding. It’s not even a new “concept” even for “back in the day”. Sure it wasn’t official (but then again, there wasn’t a way to regulate it). Cash for progress has been a thing a long time. Companies just caught on to it.
D2 market was a real thing, you would buy characters and rare drops for real cash. Unless you want to go further back when you paid per minute and the most didn’t have a modem installed in their home?

Yeah it’s almost like they wanted the game’s population to be more than about 100, so they made an event for new players to catch up before the next gear reset as more content is released.
What I find hard to believe is that anyone could both be 1.) wrong about why people have the 8x tomes in the first place and 2.) why you can also be such a jaded twat. Pick one, you can’t be both.
Don’t worry about the exp tomes. They give out exp boosts like candy.
I probably have 30 tomes lying around on a character somewhere that I’ve forgotten about, purely because there’s always so many that it simply doesn’t matter. They’re an entirely forgettable item.

IMC does need to stop putting a damn expiration date on all their event items. It’s unneccessary, especially on exp items.
But on the other end, they expire in 14 days. It’s just bad luck on your end that you couldn’t really play the game until 4 days ago due to irl stuff and that was the day of the horrible lag. Plus, ToS has an extensive history of bad connections and disconnections (commander loadfail and vga just to name a few). If at all possible, no one should wait till the last few hours to try n use these items if they can help itstrong text****
In the end, they did send alil compensation for the lag other day so maybe that helps? Lol
