Yes because Rod is one-handed weapon. Think dagger as offensive shield.

yes, the fire damage bonus of arde dagger procs on every hit, including skills. Arde is good on multi hitting skills like that of Cryos.
so also works on stuff like magic missile and hail? (going wiz3, ele3)

Think of the Arde Dagger as a bonus damage weapon. It gives boost on all damage you dealt (correct me if I’m wrong)
So even tho having a good staff on level75, it’s so much better with a rod and a dagger isn’t?
Yes, since the dagger gives a huge damage boost. Add that to your current rod you’ll get much better damage output than using a staff.
I see, it’s okay even tho I’m a wiz 3 Elem ? only magic missle is fire. lol
It’s not about what skill is fire property, the additional fire property attack gives you a plus damage on all of your skills (including autos). Hence, it acts as a bonus additional damage.
