Yes, there are some classes that are hidden, you must complete specific quests to get them.
If i’m not mistaken, the game will not show you anything about them, you have to find out all by yourself.
Of course eventually people will find out and post how to do it and everyone will be able to easily get them if they want, like a shortcut xD

Rumors says the secret classes will be limited, e.g. 1 server can only have 100 of the said hidden class 
but don’t take my words for it, its just rumors anyway

Yes, people said secret class are limited to a certain amount. It’s not difficult for them to change the quantity in the future, like for server events, since it is a simple edit in the server configuration files like any other mmorpg servers, or command line within the game using the GM command depending on how it is designed. Chances are, it is an edit to the configuration file if it is a permanent effect.
This just mean the chances of people sharing the requirement for the secret class will be lowered.
This smell SAO here, does that mean if I maxed speed I’ll be able to get the legendary dual wield passive for archer?

Good news is its confirmed hidden classes will not be in beta so at launch we will all seek them out together.
