Classy. However, as mentioned before, it’s not that they’re not doing it, it’s that they’ve not hired enough staff to do it all day with personnel rotation. I agree that it’s annoying to see them but if you had played a bit during the day, you would’ve seen that there wasn’t as many spamming the chat compared to right now, at night when the GMs are sleeping and you wouldn’t give them as much flak. There’s a difference between being a “sheep” and being level-headed.
I don’t see what’s so level-headed about being apologetic towards a company that punishes honest players with absurd restrictions that do nothing to change the status quo of having to disable a chat channel just to earn some peace and quiet.
The man’s deservedly miffed about the situation being so bad and the horse isn’t even technically out of the gate yet. Their progress on dealing with spammers is like watching someone play QWOP.
I was on during the day, its the only time the game is playable.
Your missing the point, this isnt a random unexpected bomb of a problem, this problem is in EVERY GAME, and has the SAME SOLUTION ALWAYS.
And you saying they werent prepared for tonight is insanity because its been happening since day 1. NOT ONLY should they have been prepared for tonight, they should have been prepared since the game launched.
if they dont invest on hiring staff to ban bots then the game might as well fail
if hiring staff to battle the bots can bring satisfaction to the rest of the community then it is successful and may possibly bring people to support the game by buying cash points (TP). if they just ignore and rarely ban them then people will think twice if they should support a company that doesn’t do anything to solve a problem.
it doesn’t need to be everyday 24/7 there should be a time where those staff members will login and check the list of reported players and check their chat logs and if they see those common gold selling sites then its a ban.
my friend who is working on a customer service in online games have a position where they play the game and ban cheaters or bots and they have like 100+ bans per shift sometimes i saw one of them have 500+ ban on a 12 hr shift.
Idk why people complain about FPS Drop… Am I the only one who doesn’t get an FPS drop when they spam…? It’s fine to me… no drops at all. Just Block Their Names Like any other games…
Truth all games have spammers it’s like IMPOSSIBLE to get rid of them JUST like Telemarketers who calls your phone and tries to scam you or just wont stop calling you over and over. I mean okay if you don’t want to see those spammers play a mobile game with “Ad’s” No different see ads everywhere. okay… can’t be a 100% perfect world. Saying this game is a failure. You can say all games are failures. Prob games you wont have your every-day spammers are One Player Games / Offline games. Bots whatever they spent prob $10 to just bug the crap out of the game and “Gullible kids who are under 13 (DOES BELIEVE These.)” They use their parent’s cards and next you know you got scammed yet banned. 1. payed a 3rd party who doesn’t actually support the game to receive Cash. 2. banned for buying a 3rd party if (Transaction happens)
Blade and soul tryed to hired their website but they always find a solution…
geez… take it easy… it is just a simple damn game, do you know about hiding the shout chat???, that’s what i do in all the MMO s I’ve played, i simple turn off the world/shout chat to avoid that kind of spam.
I don’t exactly see how they’re punishing honest players because AFAIK, they’ve been very attentive to our problems. Of course, the issue of trade remains but being vocal is a forte of this forum so with enough people protesting, perhaps a change can be made to that current function. As for the gold seller bot problem right now, I’d say give them more time, as it’s actually only been 3 days and we’ve started to see some initiative on their part, at least in game.
Yeah it’s obviously not an unexpected problem, as anyone who’s played more than one open beta has already experienced this influx of gold sellers spamming the chat. Once again, I’d say that we should give them time to resolve the issue, as this is not the only issue they have on their plate. They’ve had a rough start to this early access and it’s bound to continue for a while as they’ve dug themselves a bit of a hole what with the minimal amount of servers at launch.
Their lack of staff may stay that way for a while as hiring people isn’t that fast a process. I’m hopeful however since we’ve seen some immediate addressing of the problem earlier today with GMs logging on and announcing that they’re trying to ban gold spammers. We’ll see in the upcoming days/weeks whether or not they’ll have been successful with their methods.
I don’t see this attention that’s being paid to the blinking red problem light they should have hopefully installed on Klaipeda. Maybe a text message gets kicked out when a building burns down from all the server overload, perhaps?
That aside, their attentiveness is coming in the form of reaction not proaction and token GM showboating I’ve seen is only good for pacifying a growingly restless player base. It hasn’t had any effect that I’ve seen the few times I bother to turn on shout.
We have been calm and patient and very open to voicing our problems.
But our problems are not being heard, or at least thats what it feels like. If it wasnt true you wouldnt have a rage essay every 5 minutes from every other joe schmoe, I feel like this game is a lost cause and if I could take my money back I would run like hell.
well i understand if they lack the money to hire a staff but at least hire 1 staff to do it.
that staff wont get pressured to ban them as long as he is actively banning them every shift for 4 days and 3 days of day off.
better than having no one to do the banning.
and i think that it doesnt hurt much to implement a report system to make things easier for them to do the ban hammer. if a person has been added to the block list make it so that it is also reported like what others said about in BnS having block and report spam as 1 option
also since it is EA and you can only go and play if you purchase a founders pack ($10) the staffs who ban gold sellers would give the dev or the game more money by banning the gold sellers since those bots need money to play early access.
so more ban on bots = more money on the game from bots buying founders = more staff to hire to ban = more satisfied customers = more money on the game from players supporting
One will assume you are 12 years old or 30 years old with no life, and that you have very little idea what it takes to combat gold sellers. Do some research or better yet go play another game and cry there.
Are f2p accounts managing to get in the server? Because I simply do not understand how paying 10$ per bot and selling like 10k silver would make any profit over any period of time.
ugh im about to be 30 next month… you hurt me… kidding lol
I guess if they are continuing to do so, it means profit is still involved for them. Which scares me because there are people willing to spend for silver at their rates.
Let’s hope they’re running at a loss to test the grounds. Then maybe they find out they can’t make a profit in this game and back off
Yeah. You can sell an item for 300k. Then get charged 93k tax/fees and not be able to touch the money for 48 hours. Sounds like a great deal to me.
Is TP shared between characters? If so one $10 account could make infinity bots until their 160 megaphones are used up. Then trash the account and get another. Or just steal one from a player stupid enough to give them their password.
I suspect they just ban the whole account when finding a bot, so multiple characters won’t really matter, plus you can’t have 2 or more of them advertising at the same time.
Still…for 10k…holy ■■■■. The buyers deserve to rot in queue hell forever.
