I’m all for more resilient mobs, but when their hp is 2-3x higher and you’re actually dealing less damage than before then it’s a huge double whammy :dancing_women:

Thank you for your insights. Personally after looking at all these I think IMC is trying a bit too hard to balance up the meta, until it tips over to the other (physical) side. From the way the high level maps are done, it is evident that IMC want to promote party play, and promoting a diverse party rather than what we have previously, wiz3ele3wl or no dps.

Perhaps when the dust settles down we will get to see more interesting party combinations which allows spell casters to shine, like allowing paladin c3s in party for the -200 elemental resistance (resist elements + conviction) which will help increase the magic dps output of the party.

As for general pve, my archerr has lots of problem with shield mobs and all their blocks. Very irritating to fight against them. Somehow I suspect as IMC release more maps, they will further increase the pdef of the mobs just to balance out the ā€˜pve meta’. Till then there will be another round of discussion here :3

Yeah, they are following what AAA companies like Blizzard do with D3 in the vanilla days, cycle through each and every class giving them the spotlight for a while. So meta chasers will flock to those new FOTM builds, generating more play time and chance for more revenue.

Seems like a common tactic used these days by game devs, and we are sort of the ā€œidiotsā€ who keep following where they direct us to go, haiz.

It is already happening, gosh I hate these power creep. When will they listen to us and make scaling via % instead of flat values.

That’s kind of my issue. This is suppose to be old gamers playing this game more often then not. At least on this forum they seem to only see what is directly in front of them.

And are incapable of determining intention of things like mobs that are design specifically to counter classes. Like mobs that are immune to link. Wow imagine that something to stop linkers from soloing the game. And they’re like wtf I can’t solo? Why IMC crap on me? Imagine that.

Maybe we need to have dev sit downs every week like Blizzard has. To explain basic design directions even though it’s painfully obvious.


But seriously the rest of you dumb shits here that are complaining about not soloing. Give them alternatives. Start asking for other incentives to make party play better. Because XP wasn’t enough. And they’ve been getting a lot of feedback of ā€œtree of soloā€. So what do you expect?

I know… it’s such a foreign concept to think about them listening to your feedback because you don’t have a memory that spans more then a week but try hard. Development is in a larger scale… Think months not weeks.

Except that’s not true? SR is just WAY too good at AoE DPS now, I’d say even better than Ele3 was during R7. Diversity? Magic dps is ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  after 310, there’s literally no reason why you would prefer a magic dps over a physical dps on those maps.

It’s the beginning my friend. Soon as they have those metrics they can flip up the numbers to be appropriate (if they want to bother). More likely it will just be better tuned on the next content release. And lets not forget about Agni and the place holders for lightning and ice necks. Soon you will be bitching about now having a pyro in your party. And after that it’ill be bitching about not having an elementalist again.

the base stats are pretty low

manahas set only good for Auto attack spammer player . For skill spammer, add another line attack of +110 ice damage means nothing.

^ this. Skill base only works like + 110 ice damage.

Which is irrelevant unless you have more than 5 multihits. (550 damage).

Crit rate/ physical damage is still way better in this case like virtov/lolopanther.

Which is why it’s deem to be only useful with QS3 variants or meh…

Manahas + 12 str , +12 spr + additional 110 ice damage line is the key highlight.

err… i thought +110 ice damage only add to auto attack, not applied to skill at all. the last time i used cafrisun set+multishot i dont see 2 lines of damage like when i AA-ing enemy.

For skills, you don’t get an extra line (that’s for AA only), however the bonus damage of +110 Ice (in Manahas’ case) is still applied to any damage that you make.

For example:

You attacked a mob with your skill. You won’t see an extra line (not an AA), but the damage of 110 (+/- 50% depending on incompatibility) is applied to the actual skill itself. It is also applied to each hit of a ā€œtrueā€ multi-hit skill, else just once on a ā€œfakeā€ multi-hit skill.

You can observe this now by using a Cafrisun set. It’s basically like wearing a +110 Ice Attack headgear (when using skills) and then you get an extra line only when you AA (and that extra line gets the +110 Ice Property as well).


PS: This is an oversimplification because so many things factor in to a single skill attack and I do not have the time/patience to provide the full formula.

TL;DR: Don’t look for an extra line of damage on your SKILLS, that’s not how it works.

Basically all elemental damage property works like this.

For layman sake

Per hit ( including true multi hit)

(Base damage + skill damage) + elemental

On crit

(Base damage + skill damage) X (1.5* skill attribuites) + elemental

I will not add modification or weakness this is just a simple lay out

IMC expected us all to re roll 80+ Saalus cubes and trascend yewelries/weapons and armors like we ā– ā– ā– ā–  money. You can do it? Yes, but eventually you will get tired of doing the same repetitive thing 24/7 and quit.
And we also need to re-roll 290/315 dg cubes to get mats for orange weapons.
Didn’t mention the big gap that rank 8 came with on its quests dificulty, which i personally believe most people will just stop playing. Shouting for quests on Klaipeda server is becoming harder and harder and the population keeps dropping. Most active people already have their own teams to play with, so this is pretty much it. Get your team or play another game.
