If I pick Corsair at Rank 6, then something else let’s say Dragoon, at Rank 7…does the Corsair passive still work? Does my party members still become pirates?
Same with Hunter’s companion, after I class switch do I still keep them? -
Is it true that I could bank skill points, but can only use those banked skill points while I am that class? i.e. banked swordsman skill points could only be used when I become swordsman again, anytime in the future.

How does class switch work? I know there’s job exp that you get but are there job change NPCs with quests you have to undertake to class change?
-
Also, does my character’s appearance change every time I switch class? Let’s say I’m rank 6 Wugushi and when I reach rank 7 I turn back into an Archer…would I change my appearance back to that of an archer until I class change again?
I only have the answer to your third question: Yes, you have to complete a quest to change classes. These quests become available at job level 15.
Please correct me if i’m wrong
yes, you keep all skills and abilities from your previous classes.
Yes, like you said, skillpoints you earned as a “Swordsman” can only be used for “Swordsman”. So you cannot save points from Swordsman and use for Peltasta for example, but if you saved points from Swordsman and rank 1, you could then used them if you went Swordsman c2 at rank 3 or whenever.
Once you get to class level 15, you will get a Icon / Button on your screen where you pick what class you wish to advance to, once you select something it will forward you to the quest for that jobchange.
The exception to this are Hidden classes, where you have to find the quest and meet certain conditions in order to change to them
Yes, only within the same class c1-c3.
Every time you reach Class level 15, “Advancement” button will appear under your mini map. There you will select the next class you want to advance to, and a quest will automatically start and send you to the NPC for selected class change.

Yes. You can “bank” points between circles, but not between classes.
-
Everytime you get class lvl 15 you can switch class. Dont mix this with character lvl.
-
You get new costumes everytime you get a new class(not circles).
So even as a Dragoon as long as I was once a Corsair, my party members count as Pirates? And as long as I have been a Hunter once before, my character, let’s say a cannoneer, will walk around with a companion?
Because I thought those technically aren’t skills, they’re just class-specific mechanics.
you’re still technically those classes
Short answer: you keep everything you have when you progress.
