General questions about the game and it's gameplay

Hi everyone!

This is my first post and i’m kinda new at this game which is great in my opinion.

So, here comes the questions! Any help is appreciated and thanks for your answers!:

1.- How many ranks and classes are there in Tree of Savior (English ver.) specifically for wizard? I’ve seen in the wiki of this game that the last wizard class is Sage but I don’t know what ranks and classes are already implemented in this version of the game.

2.- Is there a way to reset my stats and classes? also, Is it good to have a “Jack of all trades” character or should I specialize in one?

3.- Can I go back to other classes after getting a new one? I’m level 71 at the moment and I wonder if after i hit the next class change i can go back to Wizard so I can get Sure Spell and Quick Cast.

4.- At the moment, my character has the jobs Wizard C1, Crymancer C1 and Linker C1. Any recommendation or strategy? I try to keep my INT and SPR balanced and sometimes I add some points to CONS.

5.- I found out that using a rod and shield doesn’t let you use the Ice Wall combo because it doesn’t have a physical attack BUT it offers a better defense and damage when you train the attribute at the Cryomancer Master. Should I keep using my Rod and Shield or switch to Staff?

6.- Any tips about how to use Phisical Link? I maxed the it’s attribute expecting that combined with reflective shield it would help a lot to reduce the damage received by the party but every time i link allies, they die or get insane amounts of damage specially against bosses.

7.- After getting the next class change I was thinking about getting Thaumaturge class due to it’s useful buffs but… Is it worth? can the buffs be shared thanks to Spiritual Chain?

8.- I was thinking about getting the next build: Wizard C1, Crymancer C1, Linker C1, Thaumaturge C1 and Chronomancer C3. What do you think? is it too “supportive” or should i get more offensive? Is a Full Support character viable in this game?

Thanks everyone for your answers!

Currently there are 55 different classes, and 7 different ranks which is basically your job changes including your base job. Each rank has 2 new jobs for each tree not counting hidden classes.

You can reset skills with a skill reset potion which is currently unobtainable unless you already have TP until IMC assumably sorts out their contact with valve as it’s almost been two weeks since it’s gone public and over a week with that beginner package loading screen of which neither on able to be bought still. Other than that there is no way to obtain stat resets as of right now and there is no circle or job reset potions. Obviously rerolling is an option. Being a jack of all trades is generally a bad idea.

You can grab a previous circle at any point. Some people build Wizard > Cyro > Psycho > Pyro > Wizard > Rune > Wizard although it’s really gimmicky and people can easily ruin your damage.

For the most part it’s a bad idea to get SPR except for some cleric classes due to scaling. As a wizard you’ll put points into con or int depending on if you’re going dps or support. dps wizards normally go either full int of heavy int with some con. Support wizards can just go pure con.

When you can do the 90 dungeon there is a chance for an Arde dagger to come out of the boss box or you can buy an inferior dagger just to swap to for icewall to attack with if you don’t feel like carrying a staff, either works. Just buy the attribute that lets you easily swap weapons and you can do that when needed. The attribute is cheap as it should only cost about 100 silver.

Tips on how to use physical link: You don’t.

No comment on Thaumaturge for various reasons.

If you’re going Chronomancer C3 which is a heavy support class so it’s a fairly good idea to pump a ton of con if not pure con if you plan on playing a support wizard with no intention of doing dps later on when higher ranks are released. If you want a support or offense wizard is entirely up to you. Full supports are viable be heavily depend on a party later on.

Thanks for the useful info guys!

Looks like a Support character really relies in CONS but i have already invested a lot of points into INT and SPR but I think that can be fixed using the Thaumaturge’s skill Transpose.

Although still have doubts about physical link… If i link myself or my alies to the Tank then we will take all the damage that he gets and remember that a Tanks is in the front line and has to deal with 5 or more enemies at the same time  So i’m not sure if i should spread all that big amount of damage to my other allies. I know that’s the idea of the skill, reduce the damage that the tank and allies get by spreading it between other players but still it doesn’t seems really worth.

Can somebody clarify this please with an example?
