You know what . . .
I found out about this game a month ago and my god has it been one hell of a rollercoaster. I started overwhelmed by the absurdity of the class system, waited with baited breath as I watched the OBT/iToS founder’s pack drama unfold, and have enjoyed every bit of bile that the forum coughs up. This isn’t to say reasonable points aren’t been raised (as they have), but I’ll be damned if they haven’t been beaten to a pulp.
Sure . . .
The trend towards convenience verging on P2W is worrisome.
Better server coverage for the playerbase is a serious issue; all players should be able to enjoy the game at its best (as lag-less as possible).
iToS patch notes about changes and class balance would ease many a headache.
The lack of concrete explanations on how “end game” content will look moving forward.
The myriad of other, quite valid, points people have raised about the game are as relevant as ever.
But, even with all that, I can’t help but be overwhelmingly excited to get my hands on this game and dive right in. In many ways this reminds me of when I worked a whole summer to raise enough money to buy a computer just to play RO; fixated on and voraciously wanting to consume media about the game. Many of the concerns I’ve seen derive from the playerbase wanting the most seamless and enjoyable experience that this title has to offer.
No, I don’t see the game marching along flawlessly come the 29th. In fact I would be somewhat disappointed if launch is anything short of a disaster. A disaster which outlines the charming ‘quirks’ a new game like this has. I’ve seen folks reminisce fondly about the absurdities of launch for similar titles (RO, WoW, Wildstar, ect) and can’t wait to be there to witness it first hand.
With warts, quirks, and all Tree of Savior has already been one wild ride and I can’t wait to actually start playing the game and continue that ride with y’all.

PS: Big shoutout to all the folks at IMC and @Staff_Julie for all she’s done to guide us rabid players as we slowly froth our way to the game’s launch. Thanks and fingers crossed things only get easier for you post-launch. (Hah)
