Which category do you fall under?
White Knight (More specifically, optimistic gamer) - Player who is optimistic that the game will improve and chooses to ignore the bad things, enjoy the good and wait for IMC.
Hater (More specifically, critic)- Player who feels that the bad things about the game will not change in a reasonable amount of time unless IMC is constantly nagged at. Focuses so much on the negative things about the game that they can no longer see the positive. They don’t always go about wording their criticism correctly which often leads them to being accused of trolling or just “stupid”.
Shitposter - Player who has gotten bored with the game for a variety of reasons hoping for balance fixes, PvP Arena and guild war fixes, level cap increases, or overall ANYTHING that will make them feel like playing again longer than a couple dungeons a day. They will roam the forums posting things to be sarcastic, mild trolling (not trying to make people butthurt but mostly sarcastic stuff for cheap laughs, however if someone is baited by their mild trolling, they will become a troll just out of amusement). Sometimes a shitposter will make Hater posts to express their boredom with the game or to voice an opinion about a particular subject that has caused them to be bored with the game.
Troll - Person who is really trying to generate rage and rustle people’s jimmies. They often go to great lengths to bait you back in when you’ve decided to stop replying to them by accusing you of being salty/butthurt because they failed to troll you and you didn’t care enough to reply anymore. Mostly seeking attention and can be confused with “Hater” but at least a hater is attempting to be productive (in their own way).
Lurkers - People who don’t really reply much for a variety of reasons. Often filling up view counts of posts silently and liking certain things they agreed with or that amused them. Very occasionally they reply to haters or trolls because they were annoyed by something, but usually withdraw back to lurking after they’ve said their peace.
Balanced User - They don’t really shitpost nor do they troll. They enjoy replying to posts but don’t seem to have a serious opinion either way. They will reply constructively to both hate and optimism towards the game either in agreement or in disagreement making their actual opinions on the game feel mixed. A true yin-yang forum user.
