This is new to me. I tried putting 2 gems of the same kind. When I’m about to socket my 2nd gem, it says “The gem of the same kind is already equipped. The effect does not stack. Proceed anyway?” Has it always been like this?

They do not stack.

Only applies to monster gems. However after the recent update, even normal gems will prompt this message saying that the effect does not stack(it does actually). Anyway I have submitted a ticket already.

yeah I’m talking about the regular gems, not the monster gems… I hope admins clarify this.

You can continue to socket your normal gems. Even with the prompt, it does stack; I have tested it with one of my weapons.
Oh, OP should have being more clear about the wording.
But its good its just a slighty bug, otherwise I would join the rioting
