Gem disappearing when storing in character storage (IMC READ THE DESCRIPTION, NOT THE LOG THAT A BUG WON'T ACCURATELY SHOW IN A LOG)

I attempted to transfer a level 7 red gem from my team storage to my character’s storage. When I put the gem in to my character’s storage by right clicking the gem, I had some delay, and then got a system message saying “Processing, please wait.” My gem then disappeared, and was not in my storage nor my inventory, and was NOT in any equipment. My equipment also had 0 sockets. I logged back in to double check my team and character storages of each character, as well as my inventories, and the gem was not present. I used to have 4 lv 7 red gems, and now I am down to 3 due to this. Is there any way to resolve this, or receive any compensation?

Steps to reproduce the issue :

1)Take gem out of steam storage

2)Put gem into character storage

3)Get system message: 'Processing, please wait"

4)Gem is gone.

Upon further investigation with your account, we found out that 1 of your Level 7 Red Gem was dropped due to death penalty while doing Mission Instance. We regret to inform you that we were unable to return or restore the Red Gem since that is not possible.

**Is it seriously that hard to read a description IMC? I mentioned that the gem loss did not occur in a mission. I saw the gem disappear before my eyes when I tried to store it in the storage at town. Just because a log says I lost it in a mission instance, that isn’t the case.
