Gazing Golem in PVP

  • Gazing Golem Monster Card’s Pain Barrier effect will now be applied correctly in PvP environments.

Can @STAFF_Yuri please provide clarity to this? Does this mean that gazing golem will work in pvp now?

There is a good reason why it didn’t work, please don’t do this.

There are cards that resist sleep, stun, silence and blind in pvp environment. What is the good reason for not having resistance to knockdown and knock back? It is just unfair to non-SM players that there is no good way to prevent being Knocked left and right by someone who has active PB on. I am full support of this change especially consider SW has this ability proactively.

I would be fine with KD resistance, but pain barrier is 10 full seconds of it and it can be refreshed right away so it just seems a bit over the top.

I think the difference is PB will only apply when you are hit and 30% triggering chance. A lot of time when a lancer hits you, the first thing they do is knock you down. Assuming the PB triggered on first hit (30% chance with all 3 GG cards) it still won’t save until you get out of the knocked down state. So you have like 7s from being knocked down again? I think it’s totally reasonable consider the triggering condition. If I used 3 SG cards, 60% of the time I won’t even be silenced at all. I agree I would much prefer 60% total immunity chance rather than 7s immunity if I hit 30% chance at first hit and I survive 3s knockdown.

I may be wrong on this, but i seem to recall that if GG procs on a move that knocks you down, it doesn’t actually knock you down.

I seem to remember that from bossing, but this should be easy enough to test if GG starts working in PVP zones

At least won’t die in knockback at pvp times by mostly swordsman , they buff alot dmg and survivability . . . Gosh .

Doesn’t the card give lv1 PB now not 10 seconds? It’ll probably last only 5 seconds in PVP, but if it keeps procing a lot it can change pvp greatly for some classes.

Yeah… Let’s remove the only weakness of the already OP wizards and scouts pvp classes.

It’s the old Pain Barrier, meaning it gives 15 seconds of kockdown, knockback and staggering immunity.

The new Pain Barrier would include 3 seconds of status ailment immunity, so I guess you wouldn’t want that xD
