I lose complete control of my character if i choose ui mode while using the game pad, my analog sticks control the mouse cursur, and even when i turn it on and off i can never use my game pad to control my character again unless i restart teh client.

Ocurred to me as well, when you warp to any map in UI mode, there is a chance you got stuck forever in that mode.
