Bug Description :
I don’t know if this is meant to work like this, because if it is thats poorly planned, and lack of foresight. If it’s a bug, and i rather want to believe it is like that, than i apologize.
Setting the control type for yourself is important. Here you have four choices (which is actually three):
When i play with my archer than i choose Mouse mode for a reason, the system saves my setting for me once i adjust it, i can change that anytime as i like. I can also change it in the html file located in \Steam\steamapps\common\TreeOfSavior\release folder. The problem is when i change characters, the system can not load the UI mode properly. For example, i use numpads 1, 2, 3 and 5 for moving while in Keyboard mode, while i use WASD for the same in Mouse mode.
Another example:
Part of my archer’s hotkey layout looks like this
I change to my swordsman
Notice there is no difference between the two?
The hotkeys did not change, even though at the options window the Keyboard mode is checked now.
Now i have to manually change the UI mode so that i can play normally. I press System Menu (Esc) button in the far right corner, than that cogwheel icon (Settings), and change the UI mode on the top of the window to Mouse, and than back to Keyboard.
Now i can finally do want i wanted.
And i have to do this every single time i change characters.
Solution:
- Check if the system loads the UI mode correctly, if not do it twice or till the return value becomes true.
Steps to reproduce the issue :
- Play normally
- Than change to a character that uses a different type of UI mode
