I seem to be caught in a continual loop.
I attempt to launch game - a small white pop-up appears with 2 loading bars on it, these bars fill and I get the message “We have updated the launcher, please try running the client again”. When I attempt to load the game for the second time the small screen with game name on appears and nothing else happens.
So I close it - go to steam and verify files, it tells me “16 files failed to validate and will be reacquired”, I wait while this process occurs.
Then I again attempt to load game - again the previous “launcher message”.
This has never happened to me before and I have played without problem since the last patch.
Any help would be appreciated, many thanks.
Okay, thought something was wrong with the game because the new influx in players these past 4 days, but I have this same exact problem and haven’t been able to get on at all due to this. Can someone please help us with a fix?

Bump. Need a fix. Loosing out on the premium time i bought.
Ok, do not know why, but game just opened for me.
What I did was just left the splash page up - I had been removing/closing it after 1-2 mins, leave it up there and after 5-10 mins game will load.
Then when you try to open the next time it opens even quicker.
Weird, just weird.
It’s been 4 days for me, I put the launcher up for an hour, re install, and copy from a friend, still can’t do anything. When I play on the beta it doesn’t have this problem

I let it run for an hour and nothing happened, so I still need a fix. This is flipping ridiculous. 50 bucks sunk into a game and when it goes free to play I get boned.

bump game worked for me on launch and now doesn’t for some reason
its not the game its windows 10 preview build. happend to me to.
So i have windows 10 version 1511 and build 10586 and i’m having the same issue. Tried to redownload the game and checked steam files. Nothing worked.
Do i have to revert my windows to another version?
Edit: I used HotSpot Shield VPN to connect, then the game started to update and worked fine.
After that you can close the vpn and start/play the game normally.
