They are all fanmade so you can youtube and watch them. Interpretations on character personalities are all opinion-based however so the fanmade animations capture common agreed upon theories on personalities mostly.
Animation quality is fantastic regardless of it being a fan production though. One thing about Touhou is how it has attracted a large fanbase of talented and creative people all around the world.
Though if you ever decide to get into Touhou avoid the Facebook community. In my entire life, not even my time I used to spend on 4chan have I ever seen a community more toxic. People there will organize hate groups, spread slander through fake screenshots and work their asses off to OUST you from a community by trashing your reputation for simply having different opinions than they do about certain characters.
That isn’t an exaggeration either. They will not stop until you quit. 1 year? Still going. 2 years later? They are still psychotically pursuing their campaign to oust you. Until you leave, they are never satisfied.
Definitely avoid there.

I’m still thriving and doing things. At least, my way of going about it is being an absolute derp making things that others won’t make because experimentation. As it is though, the game’s pretty barren and things I would absolutely love to be in this game is met either with community lashing or just extreme quietness.

Imagine a Tower Defense Mode where you’re in a Demon Prison-like area with your allies, and you have to save the pillars keeping you within the realm or otherwise get sucked into the abyss. Depending the Chaos, it could probably have 2 sets of parties in one instance. And not like that shitty “Protect the Torch scenario”: You wouldn’t be able to heal the statues and it’s quite easy to get overrun in certain intervals if not coordinated. The inspiration would be PSO2’s Tower Mining Defence EQ, and it’d be really neat as a mode to farm for gear.

Imagine say, a Labyrinth of Memories you could take with a single party as you revisit a chunk of bosses and Demon Lords from your past adventures all lining up to pummel you as they’d intended. They’d have new abilities and certain mechanics that if you had not paid attention to, you’d straight get rolled.
But then I log in and realize that’s years away in terms of concept, creation, and actual competence.

They could have done a lot more with missions but chose not to. So much potential for “mini-game” style fun which would actually fit in well with the style of gameplay.
What’s worse is they invalidate all the content in the game by making the best drops only drop in one place instead of making it all universal. That really hurts variety.
Sounds like you’re speaking from personal experience. That’s too bad though… most people I’ve met on there had been decent. Then again, maybe it’s because I avoid communities like the plague because ■■■■ their occasional drama bs. I just stick to my own circle. 
Also it’s like late at night here but now I want something with strawberries haha cries.
