ToS is going the Diablo (3 the shit one) way.
I think imc figured the engine can’t do a real MMO and settled for a mix of ARPG and MMORPG.
It could have been interesting but they are copying the worst stuff from Diablo-style, instead of the good stuff.
why bother with equips? - just invest in attributes and a weapon, everythin else is arbitrary… boring but whatever
