Game Crashing during Cinematics

Please fill in as much as you can : I believe this is more related to a problem for a low spec pc than really into the game, wondering if there is anyway to cut some of the scenes. It happened already on another one, but closing the game and re-doing it would work fine

Date and Time : April 4th 12h46PM EST

Game Control Mode (Keyboard/Joypad/Mouse) : Keyboard

Bug Description :
When entering one of the cutscenes for an area boss, the game crashes and stops responding

Steps to reproduce the issue :

  1. Step in to start the boss
  2. Cutscene starts
  3. Game Freezes

Hmm. I’ve completed that quest earlier. I didnt encounter any problem at all. I hope the dev team can fix your problem tho.

Yeah, I have installed the game on another computer as well and tried and the same thing happened, it also happened on another cut scene, on the next map, so I would say my account is bugged ? not sure =/

I am still seeing the issue even after the scheduled maintenance =/

Ok, found out a work around for it, on the Performance Options when set to Disable the cinematics no longer freeze the game and I am able to proceed on the quests. I am not sure how the Low Spec or Auto would work, but neither allowed me to get past them.

Ok, found it again, dealing with “Merge” on April 12th at 3h43PM EST, server Orsha, map: Altar Way.

It seems to happen a bit after I talk on the Abandoned Altar

Once again, now on the map: Resident Quarter, during the quest: The special power detected by Monocle (1)

I had this same problem once on my Cata too. Apparently activating the cut scene while you are mounted causes the crash. Well, at least for me. Other quests that I do that has cinematics crashed sometimes too when i activate when mounted.

Trying that out, will let you know once it’s done or not =)

Edit: Yes it did work indeed! Weird, but it seems not only that but some other quest related actions are bugged for mounted classes, part of the game, hope they get to fix it, but I would not count on it as a priority, thanks @chinweiboon!

yeaah found the solution… for cata like me… dont mount when talking to NPCs coz usually it triggers cutscenes then game crashes… darn they shoiuld do something bout this too :slight_smile:

This appears to happen to anyone mounted and the bug is still there. I’ve encountered this in four or five different scenes so far today while mounted on a bird with a cleric.
