Bug Description :
Game crashes immediately after unplugging USB Headset.

Steps to reproduce the issue :

  1. Start the game client from Steam.
  2. Unplug the USB headset.

Other games handle this issue by gracefully falling back to the default audio playback device.

Screenshots / Video :

System

  • CPU : Intel® Core™ i5-2430M CPU @ 2.40GHz
  • RAM : 8 GB
  • Graphics Card : AMD Radeon™ HD 7400M
  • Mainboard : HP Unknown
  • Storage : SSD Corsair
  • OS : Windows 10
  • Internet Connection : LAN
  • Country, Region : The internets ^^

It seems to crash if you unplug ANY USB device. I unplugged an USB controller and it crashed too.

I tried with my usb headset (logitech g430) and it didn’t crash for me. But the game didn’t redirect the sound on the laptop’s speakers

EDIT: I tried it in-game, not on the login screen

Good Job OP, that’s actually a real bug, but I just tested right now with my Turtle Beach Headset, didn’t crash (the important point may be W10 for you ;))

Street Fighter doesn’t crash, although also running on Win 10.
It switches to default speakers.

It’s not from the usb itself, but from devices connected/disconnected. It happened to me with my second screen on the hdmi cable, and from my usb headset.

Been put in q about 10 times from that …lol

Note that a jack headset is fine, even dual jacks audio+microphone.

i’m running 64 bit windows 7, and this happens when i unplug any usb device other than a flash drive. tested the following on multiple usbports (usb 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0): logitech g510 keyboard, logitech g933 headset, raser naga, raser orbweaver, android phone, external hard drive, usb flash drive, and even a usb portable phone charger. Tree of savior crashed in all cases other than the flash drive.
