Dragon Soar worth that 1 point too? I was thinking serpentine should be 1pt just for the debuff.
Serpentine you should max it deals double damage in r8.
Serpentine is the most important skill when you reach r8 and it can combo into either rush or dethrone depending on your needs. It hits like a truck as well.
Dragon soar is very good, quick execution and does 5 hits, shock is the icing on the cake and comboes well with restrain.
Honestly i would max both tooth and soar. But if you want 1 point in gae bulg, then just take 1 point off soar or tooth.
Letās not talk about the way the skill works, but ITS USELESS DEBUFF. You know, when a monster gets hit by Gae Bulg, it receive a bad status that reduce your damage in half⦠but make every hit, hits twice. I mean, wth? Why should I use a thing just split my damage in 2 hits?
Maybe itās a way to bypass the damage cap
I would suggest to save at least some skill points for when Rank 9 comes. You never know what the changes would be, Iād say Dragontooth and Dethrone are the only skills Iād max, put 1 pt each on Tooth, Serpentine and Soar.

Are you saying Serpentine applies the debuff on the FIRST hit? This mean the the following 4 hits will be double damage?
I think it should be. My project Dragoon is still at R7 so I canāt test it out for you. If itās a true multi hit, the first hit should proc the debuff and it should apply to the remaining hits. But afaik, there are no fake multi hits in Dragoon skills.
The other 6 hits yes. Serpentine is 7 hits total. Serpentine is the start of any comboes, pain barrier goes b4 serpentine bcuz if serpentine doesnt connect you dont do meaningful damage.

What about Dragon Tooth and Dragon Soar?
I know Dragon Tooth is a āchargeableā skill, so does leveling it to lvl10 give you more additional multi-hits the longer you charge it?
Is dragon soar a chargeable true multhit skill too?
I find it more worthwhile to level up āchargeableā skills as they seem to have better scaling than flat increment skills.
Tooth is a chargeable skill, and soar is not. Charging does not give more hits that I have noticed. The hit count is unchanged.
But I prefer to rank soar cuz charging takes time. Charging is not fun for me lol. I almost never fully charge doomspike.
In terms of hits:
Rush - 30
Soar - 5
Tooth - 6
Serpentine - 7
I think even EW and DS are true multihit skills nowā¦each doing like 5. They do 5 hits against any objects at least.
But does increasing the level on Dragon Tooth increases the number of times it will hit? If not, what exactly does those charge levels do?

I think it only affects the damage. Even at level 3 I think I get at least 5 hits out of it.
Iād level Soar too if it was a pierce skill, the only reason Iām all for Dragontooth is because itās a pierce skill and perfectly fits my rotation while on Spear Lunge debuff. Though I havenāt tried level 10 and how long it needs to be charged. If it takes too long, maybe level 5 would be enough. Maybe even level 1.
