Future steps for IMC. - [Suggestion Mega Thread]

With a few hundred hours logged on Tree of Savior. I thought I’d throw in my two cents, and shed some light on what I (yes I, one mans opinion) think Tree of Savior should impliment within the near future to really drive home that rich mmo experience we’re all trying to find.

On a side note, no. I haven’t touched Ragnarok Online, so I didn’t get to experience the good times most of you had been apart of.

Here are just a few things that would build a strong foundation (my opinion) to really help Tree of Savior kickstart itself into something fantastic:

  • Being able to queue for dungeons in a party, role selections, limitless.

  • Focus on introducing a ton a Guild functions. (As of now, you can only set “roles” which are essentially just notes attached to the members name. I suggest Guild member levels, roles/premissions, guild housing decorating, info tab etc.)

  • Optimizing the game, fps, ping etc? ( I personally havent had issues with his myself, so,)

  • Bi weekly, or monthly class balancing patches. ( you have to agree, the patch notes now are kind of a brush off.)

  • More character customization. Everyone will eventually look like the same cookie cutter mage, warrior, wizard, and cleric on the block.

These are just a few things off the top of my head. What would you like to see IMC add to the game? :smiley:

I’d like to see improved marketplace search functions, and the Cryo wizard bug where when Ice Bolt is being charged you can’t move diagonally bottom left ;A;

I get 300+ ping from california on the north american server. And I feel the effect a lot more on a cleric and wizard then the other 2. The game is lacking the optimizationg needed. Sometimes my screen goes white because of the mass amount of people on the screen. Its not normal. And Im sure thats not my computers fault.

Guilds I feel like have yet to compensate for the power loss going the class. And part of that is contributed by the fact that our content has been glitched for a while. Its said there is suppose to be neutrality for guilds. But where is that for us? A guild invite should be profoundly different. And I didnt see a guild war declaration notice where I can decline a war? I hate being forced into wars with guilds that are oriented differently.

In dungeon, member searching would help incase a trollo left. And dungeons dont give enough exp at higher level for something you can only do 3 times a day.

Character customization definitely. Not only hair style, but skin color is very important. I know they recently added eye color.

Im worried about TP pricing a lot. And tokens costing 20 dollars.

There is a class balancing issue. I build my class to utilize a knockdown combo. But do to how poorly the game is optimized. Players appear to not get knocked down. and wont show in the place they are. Warriors can really use gap closers for classes that are ranged. Which is cleric, wizards, and archers all can be utilized as range. I have long stride, but it targets the ground and is easily dodged by players.

Sad to out this, but wugushi has some pretty over power poison debuffs. One proc can kill you in less then 5 seconds unless you have a mass amount of spirit, which very few classes need.

  • I’d like to see a Marriage system that’d allow us to keep our current team names, or maybe hyphen our name with our partner, or put our partner’s name in parenthesis; but let us have the naming as an option and not force it upon us. Maybe change it like a title, I don’t know, anything with the naming thing would be fun as long as we get the choice. It’d be nice to have a perk with it, something similar to RO where we can summon our partner to us, or maybe warp to our partner.

  • We really should have an unstuck button, located in-game and/or in the character selection menu. I say this after having read several threads of people complaining that they got stuck on a map they can no longer log into, via any channel, cause the map is completely dead. Or they used their warpstone already to get unstuck once, and now it’s on cooldown but they’re stuck again.

  • They should open queues to be cross-server. I see a lot of complaints regarding queue times being too high or unfruitful. If they leave the ‘Like’ function as is (it’s already like this in-game) where it favors who you group with in random queues, I don’t see many people being against a cross-server queue.

I know I have many more ideas, those three just come to mind first.

And having ques based on likes sounds like it be jeopardizing for newer players.

Next step for F2P players, give money to IMC so they can buy better servers and ressources to manage the game.

Biggest problem we have right now. While the game runs smoothly for me, at a consistent 60 FPS, I know people who do not have that luxury.

Nonetheless, the moment I get to a world-boss fight, or a seriously large GvG battle, my FPS can drop as low as 1. I’ve even seen it hit 0.2 FPS before crashing like a 3-year old with cymbals.

If the game cannot handle multiple players on the screen to that extent, something really should be done. Even the ping can be wildly inconsistent, but that seems to be more connected to server load, as it seems to wax and wane with peak hours.

Option to disable shadows: everyone FPS issue will get better despite the game looking plain and too bright.

Making the chat input choice persistant: so if I move from a map to other I can still be talking on party chat instead of having to type /p every time I transfer.

Reworking how mission queues work: Right now everyone plays the first option just to make it faster, I’ve never been able to play any other mission because everyone queues for the first one. The system should pick 5 players and assign them to a random map from the list.

Nerfing the damage and hp of some archer mobs: Like seriously, Wendigo Archers and Spion Archers are absurd tanky and can deal 30.000 damage, how am I supposed to survive that as a wizard wearing cloth for example?.

Less Talt: 0.2% drops are absurd, I know this makes feel really rewarding to the person who gots them and keeps item rarity in place. But my complain about Talt goes than in other games you can get other useful items, like normal gear from the same level of the dungeon. Talt is just an ugly item with 2 purposes, silver trading and the guild upgrade.

More Item Sets: people wearing Cafrisun around level 200 because there is nothing better that grants that kind of bonuses, even Legwyn set falls behind.

Being able to place premium items in team storage: Having bought TP, used it on my wizard which is my main character, but I want to pass some stuff to my archer, no choice but buying more TP. TP should be shared among characters, not character locked.

I could not agree more, regarding the issue with archers having insane HP and dealing insane damage. It’s an issue on so many maps above level 150, it really needs to be looked into. Even as someone who mains a character wearing plate- they take way too long to kill and all that time spent killing em can knock out so much of your own HP. After a while I just run past them and I really don’t think that was their design intention. I know people who prefer to play solo or cannot find groups to party with, and those type of mobs hinder their ability to quest so they just give up and go play other games.

And on the same level of omgyesPLEASE- with the premium items going into team storage. It’s silly that we open a DLC package on a character and want something in it on another alt, or we decide we hate the character we’ve made (ranks/classes) and want to delete it, but that character has some premium items on it. Or, we get indecisive later down the line and want to change up our visual appearance, our skills, our stats… trading premium items via team storage just needs to be added, period.

I wanna gripe about merchant classes. (Pardoner, Squire, etc). I get the crafting costs are all about stopping rampant “rolling in da money” syndrome, but please, taxes are way too high. Goddesses don’t need silver!

I would love to have an option to move my characters up or down at the character lodge.

I know it sounds silly, but I’m already looking at a scroll bar with my character portraits at the character select screen and I just want to move one that’s way at the bottom that I’m playing as my main alt, to the top near my main, so I don’t have to constantly scroll down to it… I want to organize all my characters in the order I prioritize them, call me a bit lazy or OCD, lol.

I’ve been wanting this for the longest time but it’s such a small thing that I never bothered asking for it. I’m going to +1 you now that you did!

Make untradable items share across team storage, ie. ledas shield (a legitimate drop from dungeon), reset STAT potion from founder pack.

Make the chat system better. It is very easy to missing a whisper, why cant they enable party, normal and whisper chat at the same time.

If you whisper the same person with capital letters and then again with lower case letters, both chat windows will be saved in the whisper log. This is just poor implementation.

I don’t know if many people will be all for this idea, but after trying to quest-level alts and discussing it with guildies…

Would be awesome to have more channels added to the maps most commonly used for grinding, such as Dina Bee Farm for example, and removed from less frequently used maps if necessary to make that happen.

I come from WoW, so yes I’m a bit biased but omg I get so annoyed with the whisper system in this game. Having to right click someone’s chat bubble to reply to them directly (1v1 convo) or typing out /w TheirName- everytime really gets on my nerves. Or having a dozen separate chat windows on my screen cluttering my view? Ew, lol. I think we should have a Reply-Key like WoW has (R key for WoW), maybe make the reply key something like the tilda key ~, since everything else seems to be in use already…

TP item that allows transfering enchants to other headgear!

Need to be able to re-roll individual enchants on an item using enchant scrolls while keeping the other 2.

I have a pair of goat horns that have great magic attack and magic amp, but crit as the 3rd stat. Would love to be able to keep the magic attack and magic amp numbers but reroll only the crit attack into something else.

Would be great if we could do that.
