Future of Tree of Savior

I always get nervous about this when I find a game I really really like, is this game still being developed in Korea or as development ceased I heard a rumor that it shut down for a while or something or is this untrue and there is still active content every week or month in Korea? I hope this game will last as long here as it does in Korea.

Didn’t this game launch in Korea about 5 months ago? So this game only needs to last another 5 months. It’ll make it. Keep dreaming small!

IMC working hard to make it die before then

If people really want to get IMC to actually do something then you should look at the current laws in the United States that apply to MMORG. I’m not a lawyer so I don’t know much about these kind of things. I believe if the server is in the US it has to obey the laws of the US? I dunno, this requires mass research and it can end up to lead to nothing.

This game is already having a hard time to pass 1 month. Few of my friends already quit :no_mouth:

Does Steam version relies on KOR version?

Meaning every update will go through KOR first?

It doesn’t really require that much research. US laws affect US citizens. US laws can’t go after RMT and botting companies located in the middle of China.

Already dead, it just doesn’t know it yet. To many problems with the game that I won’t bother going into because they have been said 100 times. Many of which IMC has already said working as intended.

Hehe, truth be told, its difficult to say, its still in a very early stage.
And if people didn’t expect faults in an early access version, well haha, i wont comment on that.

The game itself has somthing familiar to Ragnarok Online that became a huge success in the early 2000 and kept growing over the years. And there are still thousands active private servers aswell.
The staff is currently working and sorting the problems 1 by 1 as we report them, thats the whole point of this stage. They even feel for us in the meanwhile and offers some free bonuses, however there are people without patience, and that creates conflicts.

But when things has been fixed and can start prio the bot issues, im sure this could grow even bigger, its after all the successor of ragnarok online.

Probably releasing a few anime episodes aswell.

So consider how over-populated this game got after the first 30 minutes in this stage WHERE you need to expect problems, then lets not mention when it actually releases and when most of the problems has been solved.

If people already left this game for such pity and understandable errors, then they’ll come back.
Because it won’t last for very long.

it’s called jurisdictions. US law only applies in the united state. business from other countries is not part of unites state jurisdictions.

oh I mean, towards IMC, not the botters to change the model of f2p not to become p2w game, where basically they are exploiting players and their toying with their ego.
Since we are on the topic of bots and gold miners, I watched a document about gold miners a few years back and I heard that Chinese government started to raid people who were operating gold mining and created a law in that state that gold mining is illegal. There are still some that operate illegally in China.

Which is a bit weird knowing that the business of piratesbay which was operated in Europe got taken down (for a while) and the people running that site got sued by Hollywood and big companies over a US Law.

That’s because they have a “Name” and put him in international wanted list LOL but in our case here… we don’t have. they are just bunch of small time running several desktop on some unknown village :joy:

That’s because it was located in a NATO region. Most of Europe is part of NATO which the US is also a part of. This is a bit different with communist countries such as China, Russia or North Korea.

There’s a reason why Edward Snowden fled to Hong Kong and Russia instead of Sweden. The Chinese and Russians aren’t exactly the type of people who care what the US has to say. Europe on the other hand is an ally of the US.

Yes, and The reason of being in NATO and able to take down piratebay is such BS because it has nothing to do national security.

Like I said, I’m not into Law so I don’t know much and it seems like the law isn’t helping the people not get exploited by companies scams. At least not game companies.
