Future of Templar and Also all about Templar

Yes, too many flashy effects.
This is the only ‘battle’ templar video of rank 8 I have.

Why do monks spam scream during skills. It is excessive. A million Huaaa bwaaa soooodaaaaa huaaaa ooooy.

Edit: I saw a new particle effect at 1:17:00 at the templar. Stunblade? However she is using toy hammer (not a sword), shouldn’t be possible.

Hey, since the QnA is about Templar and attributes, anyone here could make a guess or any briliant ideas to talk about templar attributes?

I guess Templar right now only serve as a taxi class with 2 rank losses to compete with others. How do you think this class could be more useful?

Templar should get a full rework, so far this is the most lackluster class i’ve played (and i got a Squire before) in terms of what you get for going so far, specially for taking a full circle to get access to a feature even for a unique/specialized class and it looks like Rank 8 won’t make up for the current status.

Circle 2 Skills I'm really concerned about the new skills, all them seems quite restrictive regardless of how powerfull they can be (and it looks like no one is interested on it since there's no much info available about it).

Share Buff - It depends on how many buffs it can share that aren’t available with Spiritual Chain, it seems like the caster can’t move nor attack while the skill is active (casting type), in the worst scenario it will be only a worse version of linker’s.
Forge - According to TOSKBASE each level allows an additional Forge to be built but there’s no info about build restrictions, it would be really nice if Templars could use it anywhere but that’s very unlikely to happen.
Shield Charger - Seems like a really OP skill with a super HP block when fully charged, however it’s really weird that you can get a 144k shield to a single character, it will either be OP broken or useless.
Stun Blade - Reasonable.

They said it was going to be more GvG oriented but it doesn’t seem like Templar 2 will be that better at it.

Suggestions So far these are some suggestions that could make the class more reliable (along with the new skills).

Summon Guild Member - None
Warp To Guild Member - Add levels to it, starting from level 2 each additional point would allow the Templar to take an additional nearby guild member with it when warping.
Build Guild Tower - Removed, all features get unlocked with Guild Level instead.
Reduce Craft Time - Removed, effect applied inside Guild Hangout with % based on the Guild Level.
Battle Orders - Changed into additional attack aura (same as Diev statues).
Share Buff - Make into an aura that allows buff sharing without overwrite in buff cap (can increase with level).
Forge - Make it into a turret that can be build anywhere to grants buffs and attack enemies as long as an ally player is nearby.
Shield Charger - Change it into a large protection zone with an own HP instead of a hit limit.
Stun Blade - None.

I wouldn’t mind if they get Templar into a GvG structure builder class (ultimate tower defender) as long as each structure is useful on it. It would be quite funny if they could build walls just to change how enemies move allowing different strategies.

So far it doesn’t seem like any attribute would be enough to make the class attractive most of the Templars.

By the looks of it (the demonstration video on tosbase), the skill seems to be a short window where any buffs cast are also cast on party members, when the window closes, those buffs remain active. I think it makes sense given you are using it with guild members and would take a bit of coordination to ensure everyone activates their personal buffs within that window. It costs 5%sp/s as a channel, so better coordination means you don’t have to channel as long, means you don’t use 50% of your total sp.

If I’m not wrong… overall, I think Share Buff is reasonable.

Any update on how to make the shields?
I have taken the attributes from the Tower but i cant craft them inside the hangout

Anybody know status of this:

  1. Having the guild master as the sole administrator of a guild can be a little inconvenient. Any plans to create a sort of sub-master for guilds?

Having a single leader in a guild can in fact be less than ideal for the other members when the guild master isn’t around, especially in larger guilds. Because of this, we are planning to develop a new role of sub-master for guilds that want to assign one. This sub-master will have the authority to perform some of the same actions as the guild master, allowing members to participate in guild activities even when the guild master is not available. Nothing concrete has been settled about this feature yet, but we’ll keep you updated with more details in the future.

AFAIK, you should never put your hopes in those IMC weekly statements. Most of it are either rough plan or just what they need to write for their weekly blog…

And for the rough plan. most of them will change in the future. We might get the sub master or other feature, but I believe it still need a long way to get that patch up.
