Future for monks

Monks are fine now when there are only 6 circles, but I can’t help to think about the synergy between the monk class and other classes, including the ones that will be release in the future.

Based on the newly released G Star trailer, other classes seems promissing, like dragoon, shinobi, marksman, necromancer etc… which means you have a lot more options if you chose the other 3 starter classes other than clerics.

I can’t help to think that there will be little to no new classes that will synegize well with the monk class, and that worries me. So fellow monk players, what are your plans for circle 7 - 10? Picking up Pally for the buffs? Oracle for the Sp and Stam buff?

Depends, I’m hoping to stay something Damage and AA related because STR/DEX. But it seems like all of the Cleric classes rely more on INT/SPR. So if the rest of the cleric classes are that, I don’t see the point in being monk at all.

Unless they include stat/skill resets.

I do agree, it feels like monk is pretty much the end of the line unless they add more classes that works well with the monk class

Just like you guys can’t confirm there will not be more physical clerics, i can’t confirm there will be BUT. Army Chaplain gives the impression of a physical character.

It’s a little premature to speculate about the future of Monks isn’t it?

For all the flaws people point out about this game, the one thing IMC can hang their hat on is the variety of classes they design. When higher circle get released, I have little doubt there will be new classes that will work well with a Physical DPS Cleric build.

I mean, The Paladin, Priest, and Krivis are already here (who are all decent to great physical attackers), and there’s the Army Chaplain which by its looks and concept, screams Frontline Support. Why would you think there will be “little to no new classes that synergize well”?

Also, there would be a c3 monk to look forward to. That’s already a good circle right there.

Monks will be fine.

Monk goes all the way to rank7, we need to see what classes rank8 will have available ^^

I don’t think you won’t ( or can’t already ) find something on the Cleric tree that will help you… I think Cleric is the easiest to combine actually… :x

how about rank 7 monk c3? then take something a 8. Why are people freaking out over this without knowing the later ranks.

I say, the route looks like this: Monk3–>Paladin1or2–>Army Chaplain. “Monk=the end” is too far-fetched.
