Hello! I’m looking for a fun class to play and I’d like to hear about which classes you’ve had most fun playing as!
wizards always look fun
but if you want a really easy life go swordsman>highlander>barbarian and you will pretty much breeze through
Fun is relative, if you are having fun with playing underdogs, go archer, if you are having fun supporting people go cleric. If you like it easy, go swords, if you like casters go wizard
Wizard c2 is quite disappointing as energy ball become underpowered so soon. maybe i should go pyro/cyro …
but Krivis is fun imo…
(as i had been playing)
idk about the other classes.
that’s actually a hard one
out of testing i found a lot of the classes has a fun part on them
like Krivis , Paladin with party , Dievdirby , Linker , Corsair , Sapper ,Wugushi
, Thaumaturge ,Squire
and don’t listen to the kids who cry about you being a swordy have fun and play what you like
I mean if you could give us your definition of fun then we could help you o.o. My fun is different from yours xD.
Oh, actually I wanted to get some ideas based on other people’s experiences with the classes they like playing rather than classes they think I might like.
But personally, I only dislike playing with repetitive classes like auto attack swordsman or oblique shot spamming as an archer.
sounds like a wizard
Pyromancer is the class I’ve had most fun so far, but that’s also why I’m looking for other classes that might be fun with different mechanics ^^
On the subject, are control-oriented wizards any fun when going solo? something like cryomancer or psychokino?
Also I really wanted to try Dievdibrys out, too bad their skills aren’t working :s
All of them are fun, but some still not done correctly yet (Diev, Wizard), but the others are nice, i havent played Swordsman classes yet, but looks really easy to level, specialy 2h oriented classes, im playing a Cleric right now (going Krivis C2, Sadhu C3) to see how it goes, so far im having a blast, some boss fights dont take more than 2 mins, my build is going on 1:1 INT SPR (INT for damage, SPR for support skills), I got an archer too, heavy damage, almost kill everything in 1 hit (with skills), stoped on Ranger C1 for now, maybe i level it later some more.
Fun for me is not the same fun for you. Just try different classes yourself.
My fun = quick leveling and solo easily.
I suggest Highlander and Pyromancer
be careful with pyro though, i got pyro linker which is amazeballs as long as you are in a party or in an empty area, but as soon as the map gets crowded every cunt in this game will try to steal your linked mobs and kick your fireball away.
pyros skills take about 3 seconds to do the damage you need but that might be too slow.
btw i really really dislike those ■■■■■, it’s one thing to “compete” over mobs, but waiting for peltasta to use swashbuckling and pulling mobs together or linker to finish their links is not competing anymore, it’s actively harassing/ stealing the resources ( mana, cooldowns) of other classes
I’m not an expert player by any mean. Just jumped in this beta and started trying all the 4 starting classes to 25+. just to try out how they feel.
As at the beginning I was having the most fun with Archer and the least with the Swordman. Cleric and Wizard were in the between.
Tryed some secondary classes, Ranger, Kirvis, Swordman C2 and Pyro. And among those I liked the kirvis the most, but was still far from saying I was really having fun.
Swordman c2 was rising to an higher position, as Ranger was not really making me have fun anylonger.
But then I’ve decided to roll another Swordman and try Highlander and, oh boy, I’m having loads of fun with it. I know everyone goes around saying that swordy is easy and stuff, and I usually dont like to play the “easy class”, but I’m having too much fun with it to care.
And you know what? It is not the class per se that I find enjoyable, I’ve just felt in love with a single skill: Cartar Stroke.
Thankfully most of the skills are avialable to watch at Tree of Savior fan base, so one can have an idea of which skills he may like. I have to admit tho that watching or using them makes a great difference tho.
lol you got me at amazeballs
ahhh Cartar Stroke, this skill makes everything way easier
it will probably take 2-4 cartar stroke to kill a quest boss(lower lvls)
and it takes my pelta about 3 days to kill a quest boss
if you play solo go pyro 2 into linker, i am leveling with a hoplite, so with his taunt and my link + hangmans knot we can pretty much 1 shot those groups.
for solo play its additional killspeed against mob groups, but not against bosses ( aside from spawned ads which die too fast to really add to the damage :|), isn’t needed much with flameground and fireball, getting those to c2 pyro would be more useful for single target dps.
now i need help deciding, since the linker is stuck with a leveling partner i need a great solo class aside from barb ( i can’t stand looking at 3 ranks of fur with nothing changing in my gameplay)
i got a pelta> hoplite around level 65, but stabbing and pierce work really poorly with mouse controls and i’m not sure i can stand the annoyance of losing the cd on my 2 best skill all the time.
My c2 archer > Ranger got me really annoyed in group play, if you don’t have a linker who pulls enemy onto 1 spot the pet loses about 70% of its potential and a full spr build gets stuck at low mana because the mana pots don’t scale.
54 barb as i said, super strong and easy, but very stale.
level 30 krivis full int, way too long cooldowns, great bosskiller though, wanted to go sadhu, but slugging through 50 levels of 40 second cooldowns feels like hoplite without taunt and auto attack damage <.<
i keep getting pulled back into archer classes but the synergy between the later classes is just not there, so if you actually got a solo build to work i’d be glad to hear your insights
Yeah, it is indeed true that Catar Stroke makes it easyer. Good for killing packs of mobs in a single, wide hit. Has overheat. Cooldown is short. And, last but not least, deals tons of damage on bosses.
As I’ve said before, I dont usually like to go the easy route, but there is something with the feeling I had with that class that just mesmerized me. The charging mechanic, where you can unleash it half way trough and deal adequate damage to wipe normal mobs, or fully charge it to lvl 5 and deal a sweet load of damage to those pesky quest bosses.
I just like it a lot. That’s all. Made me enjoy the game more, so it made the Highlander a fun class for me to play
But I think I’ll use the beta to test other classes, to feel other skills and see which I armony with. I’m sure there are loads that I’ll find fun and satisfying to use.
p.s. I’m also usually a bit of a min maxer, but I fear that going too min maxing in this game may spoil the fun of it. Creating your unique character as you like, as you enjoy, I belive it is one of the strong keys of Tree of Savior. But I may be wrong. I’m often wrong, I’m wrong all the times I’m not right, so…
My fun is being a tanky ball of helpfulness so Cleric is leaps and bounds the most fun I’ve had in ages. I just run around gathering a pack of angry mobs, deprotect, cure, and introduce my mace to their face for free exp.
I also make it a point to heal every low HP guy or girl I see and 9/10 times I get a like out of it. Feels good man.
you da real mvp
