I’m wondering if a full SPR Stone Skin build provides enough block to non-swordy chars to block attacks from full STR characters?
I have read the TOS mechanic guide from vyne1 and ran his formula, but even in the guid he admits the formula may not work at higher levels.
I’m looking for anecdotal feedback, how well does full SPR Stone Skin work in PvP?
A few things to consider:
1.) Lancer (Sword R8) has a skill that immensely increases his block pen and decreases that of the target that even a Pelt in C stance can’t do much. See 8m46s in video below.
2.)
3.) It’s easy to stack on block pen through equipment like Glass Bracelets and the new sword-only gauntlets (especially when socketed with yellow gems).
I’d say at R6 below it may work well, but it’s effectiveness could fade off come R7 and beyond.
Also, even if you do block a lot, any attack that gets through could possibly kill you off easily unless you didn’t really go FULL SPR and invested some points in CON.
Full SPR is a nice buff priest but stone skin got a lot nerfs
Awesome feedback fellas, this really helped me plan my build. 
And you’ll never have enough SPR to counter high STR builds since STR grow up way faster than CON SPR DEX.
my PVE block from my Stone Skin is 1.8k, when i’m on PVP it’s around 500+, it’s good to have as it blocks attacks from time to time, but is useless for the majority of patk dps who are high STR
the Stone Skin nerf was made since people were complaining about Priest being invulnerable in PVP, but now that Block Penetration was included in STR it created a sort of double penalty for Stone Skin
i mean it makes sense that brute force can overcome a block but these kinds of incremental changes are worsening the already unbalance-able state of ToS but i digress
