I played all 3 paths up to at least lvl 50. Quarrel Shot is by far the slowest and weakest.
Youâre trolling, right?
Talking about which class levels the fastest in a current leveling meta of how lucky you are with finding blue mobs?
Comon now. :I
Outside of the so called âmetaâ since as you said itâs pure luck and cannot be measured.
Itâs a given.
Itâs as good of a benchmark as any other.
QS does feel the weakest but looking at the attributes itâs the only class inside of archer tree that can apply bleed (correct me if Iâm wrong) which comboes with some fo the attributes from rogue class (vendetta and backstep get extradmg/massive bleed on bleeding targets)
Funny enough, the âScatter Caltropâ attribute for bleeding wasnât available at the QS master.
Maybe they took it out, or theyâre editing it. I dunno.
Does full dex really workâŚi mean you will have loads of crits on archers but those crits would be super low
Well everyone has their own opinion about what works and doesnât. Thatâs where gems and upgrading equipment come in. I went full dex before adding strength and it personally felt weak to me, but as I started adding strength my attacks obviously got stronger. I felt at some point though that adding more strength past 50 or 60 was making much different damage wise. But <<<< My opinion. Youâll have to test it out yourself to see what works in the next test XD.
@Edward_Teach Yes and I also leveled my character past 50 so Iâll agree to disagree with you.
Define low? A crit is 100% more dmg at base level. How many points do you need input into str to get just the base difference compensated? Since there isnât an agi stat and dex caters for evasion as well. It basically makes dex a very profitable stat for any character with crit abilities / attributes .
i had a ranger c2 with around 50+ str and 40+ dex
compared to my archer c3 when it was at 30+ str and 60+ dex i liked my archer more
if i ignore my bias for archer c3 over ranger c2 i would still think that dex is better than str at this moment
The way I would plan it.
Kneeling Shot Dex>Str
My Reason: immobile Gem I recommend Evasion to invest more into Str
Multi shot Str=Dex
Mobile need less dex Gems Crit chance and dmg Spr
Swift Step Str=Dex
Mobile need less dex but less crit chance Gems Crit dmg Spr
Ranger Crit Shot Str>Dex=Sp
High crit chance need sp Gem Crit dmg Spr and Sp
Quarrel shooter attributes look like it has less crit capability and uses way more Sp for stuns.
I think go into full dex is not good⌠should put more str into itâŚ
On Korean closed beta I saw some hunters doing pure dex or dex / spr because they would rather have a bit of evasion as a defensive stat while rounding up mobs for the pet to kill, I guess they only relied on the pet for damage through the rush dog spell since your own stats donât affect the pet at all (the pet has its own stats) but for other archers I think this isnât as useful. I did do a full dex build vs a str one in closed beta though and there is no doubt str was all around better. People claim that str builds did not much more than them as dex and I agree it looks that way but when you actually play both styles and compare str is much faster for killing. I guess in the end it depends on preference and builds for ex I believe kneeling shot did scale with amount of dex you had for damage
I was hunter and I dont think pure dex is needed at all.
I went something like 2:1 dex/str. I basically added enough dex to get around 90% evasion against bosses around my level and grinding spots.
I didnt get to higher levels though so I canât say how much dex is needed.
Either way , dex is a stat that doesnt add damage at all. Its purelly defensive but not like CON that scales defense and HP infinitely. Dex increases dodge rate, so once this goes over 100% each new point is a waste in stats ( that could go over CON if the hunter is going for defensive stats or to SPR/STR to be more offensive , remember though that cloth mastery lost its passive to increase sp regen). And going dex for the offensive critical rate is not a good idea as that can be achieved quite easilly with gems and other buffs. ( ok its not that easy but you can do it).
So, all those arguing about dex/str builds, while thereâs not a single one mentioning the full SPR build on archers until lvl 100, which has been said by many âveteransâ to be the most viable leveling build for archers atm. Any thoughts?
Youâre replying to a forum that is over couple months old also no one is arguing this is just discussion, people have been doing spr since korean cbt not a fan of it
full dex is great if you like taking forever to kill things and poping potions constantly
full spr or even half str half dex makes more sense . i had a full dex build but used a scroll to reset stat points and it works a lot better with a spr 3/ str 2/ 1 dex build after about 40 points are in spr so you can use abilities more and grind better. your going to be using abilities a lot basic strikes do almost nothing and skills have attributes you can pay to raise the damage of. i still crit about half the time as well
you dont need much dex to always hit not counting things with shields but thats also where spr comes in handy. spr = mana and block penetration and magic defense
kneeling shot and full dex sems to be something awesome, i still will test this sometime
edit:omg its an old thread o.o
holey necro thread batman!
full dex archer? Prolly , after the upcomming class changes maybe. For now this class is just disgusting to play beyond 55 until lets say 90-120.
+The bow drops are unbalanced as well, like the good avarage bows dropping from enemies 65+ (iron bow) or something. 75 bows from lv 100+ enemies (savage bow). Full dex archers are disgusting to play beyond 20 until 90, since Iron bow is so far the best weapon you can get until heart seeker but u wont get your hands on this bow since it is like a legacy here. So you have to keep that iron bow thingy until what lv 120 ? no thanks sir.
Crossbows looks fine, there are plently of them in the market. But I wouldnât risk now to start a crossbow archer.
Wont touch this class until the upcomming changes regardless of how many OP full dex videos ppl will post.
BUT I would say, if you not playing solo, you can go full dex.
It gets worse, the bows are all whites and they are expensive around 120+, forget about getting blue bows or purples above 120. I agree with you, bow drops suck compared to swords and maces.
