[Friends] Cannot accept friend request or send one

Title says it all, I ask my bro for a friend request and couldn’t accept it even though it is right there on my screen. When I press the bottom, it moves but nothing happen.

Yeah this bug was already reported so there is a similiar thread somewhere around here. :smile:

I agree with this report, but @belanger_jeremy even when the titel is helpful, its more helpful if you also include reproduction steps.

additional Information:
friend requests do not work over chat invite, and also not over right click.

Reproduction Steps:

  1. login with two accounts
  2. request a friendship over chat/right click menu from Account A to Account B
  3. check if you receive the friend invite with Account B from Account A
  4. try to accept or decline the friendship
  5. observe
  6. start from step 1 with different accounts on step 1 and a different option on step 4 till you fullfilled all of them

expected behavior:
accepting or declining a friendship should work

observed behavior:
the friend request gets send, but the user can not accept or decline it.

I tried the workaround that was in another thread, send to the same person a friend request and wait but it didn’t work, the request didn’t go away.

If you block the person the request disappears and the person appears in your block list.

To be honest, it really did not phase me about the friend list not working. Sure I met many people on my journeys, but knowing the friend list, along with everything else, was going to be wiped anyways, I really didn’t mind. I would just check to see if they were on through shouts or what not. I am sure that this was one of the minor things that was not a main focus this go around. Maybe they will have it ready next test go round!

i have the same problem i can’t accept friends request too this problem start from the first first beta and still going

Friends tab is not working (F7)… I having 3 friend requests I can’t accept. My friends can’t accept my requests. After the first fail request maybe it becomes unusable.

i have this bug too ( or just the friend system is not working atm)

Ist good to know that you are not the only one having this kind of problem
