"Friendly" guide for dng260 for irritating newbies

First of all I would like to tell you guys that “Why not fcking watch the videos online for a dng run before entering”.

Now lets start with “noob friendly guide”.

Location: Inner Enceinte District
Name: Blue Fortress Dungeon
Minimum level requirement for entry: 260

You can take a quest from the NPC beside the Zemyna statue and don’t turn it in upon completion for a free warp to here.

Few points to be noted before you even think on queueing.

  1. Bring lots of antidotes and/or dispellers. Mobs inside poison you. You might not get a good healer or any healer at all.
  2. Bring lots of HP and SP pots. Again, you might not get a healer. This dungeon is very long and time consuming.
  3. Mobs inside hurt a lot more than what you saw before in any other dng. So get yourself at least a decent enough armour to survive. Lv170 armour or more is recommended.
  4. Another thing which might happen that there will be no DPS in party. So get a decent weapon. Getting good pardoner buffs is highly recommended.
  5. Those mobs also cast Sleep. Having dispeller here will come extremely handy. Else wait out duration to end. You can avoid getting Sleep by aggroing it and running away instead of charging right at it. The 1st skill it will use is Sleep. If you are out of range then you are safe.
  6. Brain-Dead and retarded gameplay ends in this dng. If you still play like that, you will fail this dng unless getting carried.
  7. There are mobs inside called “Blue Elet”. They heal from ice skills. So avoid using it on them if you have or tell the one in party if you have
    Confirmed by

Now hopefully you got your above inside your heads and actually did that, you can queue up and shout for party if needed. Pre-made party with friends is better bcz you can cooperate in that. But i’ll presume since you guys are rushing, you didn’t had the time to make a single friend as your mind still been fixated on “I am Kirito”.

Now hope you are inside with full party and no carry. Look at who are your other partymates. Take a note of there builds and mentally decide what that player can do. Again, I’ll presume you are rushing your levels so don’t even get your own class, forget about another class. Fcking open that chat box there and ask the players politely what you can do and what he can do.

OK. Lets presume that there is no healer and everyone is like you, who don’t know a sh*t about his own class. Then please stand together and do stuff together. Chat a bit to lighten up the atmosphere. Being silent will get you nowhere.

Now then let’s start clearing guide.

Steps to clear dungeon efficiently. If you have any other pattern you follow, tell me. I’ll test it out and add it here if its good enough.

  • After entering you will be at Green marked spot. Go south eastern corner of this room and wait for gondola to arrive and go to Region 1. Don’t be an as*hole and wait for your other partymates to arrive.

  • Now clear Region 1 of all the mobs in here. Use antidote if you are poisoned. If you are cheapskate like me, you won’t be having dispellers.

  • Now clear Region 2 , Region 3 and Region 4 in order.

  • Go back to Region 3 and there is another gondola similar to beginning. Take it and drop at the end. Again, Don’t be an as*hole and wait for other partymates.

  • Clear Region 5. And go big room in centre with no mobs. Follow to Region 7 and clear it. Now clear Region 8 and Region 9.

  • Now go back to centre big room with no mobs and back to Region 1 which you have already cleared earlier.

  • Now yet again, don’t be an as*hole and wait for others to arrive. Movespeed of all the players are not same depending on various criteria.

  • Now clear Region 10 , Region 11 and Region 12. Don’t rush back as soon as you see gate opening message. Kill all the mobs 1st.

  • Now back track to big central room with no mob via Region 11.

  • At the entrance of Yellow marked room, wait for others bcz you don’t want to be an as*hole. Buff up here if have any or partymate has any.

  • Kill the Prison Cutter boss here. Then clear up entire room.

  • Now go back to Blue marked area. There will an NPC here now. Interact with it and it will teleport you to next area marked Orange. Don’t be an as*hole and wait for others to arrive. Open up your minimap by pressing “M” and check if anyone failed to come to this region and tell him to interact with Blue marked NPC. Now buff up again if any.

  • Kill all the mobs 1st. Then kill Rafene boss.

  • Get your drops, thank each other for successful finishing of an annoying asf dng before leaving.

Few other points to be noted inside the dng:

  • Don’t charge ahead alone and get killed. Its your fault for rushing, not others.
  • Don’t blame healer for not keeping your HP up. Use some of your pots instead instead of whining.
  • If there is CC partymate and he is CCing, then don’t knockback the mobs.
  • Don’t taunt or draw aggro if you have no confidence in surviving without a healer. If there is a healer and you are yoloing then don’t scream at healer to heal you up when you are dying.
  • If you die, and there is a priest, then ask him for rez rather than waiting for him to notice you dead. Its a long dng so starting again will lose a lot of xp and time.
  • If the priest is a pardoner, ask him right at start if he has resurrection to avoid disappointment later on.
  • If you die, and you have to start again, Request politely to others to wait. You don’t want to piss off others and they start completely ignoring you.
  • If you can’t do something, don’t expect it from others too. If you want to tell something, Say it politely.
  • If everyone runs out of buffs or died and your DPS dropped to ditch, discuss with others and go back to get rebuffs. Everyone must get rebuffed and not only the DPS
  • Don’t be stingy with pots in here. You might fail this dng.
  • If someone is whining, try to cool him off and suggest him. I don’t think everyone can pull this off politely but atleast try not hurt him more.
  • If someone bails out, its also half your fault to unable to keep him going.
  • Don’t overwrite buffs in this dng. Its very deadly and may cost you dearly in here. If you have some doubts on whose is superior, then ask out.

Some other tips

  1. Try to avoid melee with mobs if you have paper defence. This holds true for everyone. Dopple and warlocks are prime example of this idiotic behaviour.
  2. Don’t ask healer to heal you when he is the only DPS in party. Use you bloody goddamn pots. If you are out of pots then its your fault dying not healers.
  3. Archers must turn off their swift step party share. Only one who is allowed to share is lv15 swift step and that too at a condition that it doesn’t overwrite someone else’s buff. Discuss this right at start.
  4. Quarrelshooters (no matter how much i hate them personally) are quite good for survival in here. Please deploy your pavises before proceeding with running shot or whatever else you may be using.
  5. SRs, please use your goddamn retreat shot rather than limacon. Ask CC and/or taunt to get the mobs to near a wall so that you can use it.

Hope you guys enjoyed and learned something from my half guide half rants.
I won’t say veterans never do these mistakes. But they are less susceptible to do so. If you see anyone trying a suicidal run, tell him politely.
Don’t assume stuff on your own “chuuni minded behaviour”.

Golden rule for this dng: Do what your are good at. Don’t half-as*edly do stuff which will create trouble for others. Be open for someone else’s suggestions and tips rather than ignoring him or shouting at him.

If you find any mistakes in here or have something good which can help, I am all ears. Feel free to point it out. As you already can see, I am bad at this stuff.

In case no one believes this is true (Red person in question is Cleric 1 > Priest 3 > Chaplain 1 > Pardoner 3)

Pyros are fine in this dungeon. Blue Elet heals from Ice.
So, cryomancers damage skills and elementalist’s Frost Cloud is a no no.
Don’t be discouraged to put Frost Pillar tho. Just don’t use ice blast as well.

Thanks for telling, i’ll edit it.

I agree with this guide and I’m thankful that you’ve created it.

On one 260 dung run. I experienced someone blaming the healer since he wasn’t being cured instead of bringing antidotes (and from what I’ve seen, the healer already placed heal tiles to further prevent him from dying but complained in the end when he died). This escalated to into some sort of mini-drama but thankfully it didn’t worsen.

Always remember that its better to be safe than to be sorry. Stay behind your tanks or let the person taunt/kite/pull the mobs first.

Do you think someone in ToS really reads what you said and waits for you because you’re dying in dg?

You must be kidding with buffs part. I’ve had such moron cleric in pt that quit half-way dg 260 to get pardoner buffs. He took more than 10 mins to get his buffs, of course everyone in pt were smart enough to not wait for him.

Tell me who’ll hold a group of mobs if not melee so the party could AoE them?

@BurningFighter should do one for 140dungeon as well gahahaa. It pisses me off so much when new guys don’t even know the pathing of 140 dungeon and still trying to lead the party, missed out tons of mob, tried so many time calling them but they have no chat awareness :man_shrugging:

I love these kind of thread!
I usually run this dungeon with my PD2 and my CCsage both over 300 (just to get intasurta gloves), and i have to say that:

  • plague doctors please use bloodletting whenever you can in 1-2-3-4-5 rooms. it prevents poison doing 1k damage ticks
  • pyromancers please use firepillar, it stuns the mobs inside
  • all clerics please use cure not only to do damage to 1 mob
  • if a warlock is going melee with dark theurge is a troll, no other explanations

btw in fedimian i always did the route l ike this: 1-10-11-12-2-3-4-5-7-8-9-prison cutter and rafene. Your route is better

That’s the exact thing i want to change.
I am damn sure when you are out of buffs and only one who has some dmg is dead, you will wait for him rather than charging ahead and dying yourself.

You did the right thing. Not going to support morons who just create trouble for others.

If you can actually do melee and survive, just do it that way. I said it specifically for those who have paper def and still go melee. I’ll edit accordingly.

I’ll try later. Need to recollect all info. I made this thread specifically bcz my new char is now lv260 and i want to avoid f*ck ups. Also many other friends saw these mess happening in this dng. This is has gotten worse nowadays even more than before. So it needs some focus.

How come you quote everything but ignore half of it ?
You go back to town to get buffs, IF “your DPS dropped to ditch”. If suddenly the whole party’s DPS is incredibly weak because of death/no more buffs, yeah, chat with your party to do it.
Last time we were 3 chronos and one cata (Archer crashed at entrance and never was seen again), you can be sure that when his buffs ran out we talked about it, he went to get them back, and we waited for him.
Everybody wants to do the dungeon efficiently and fast so, if you lose your DPS, most of the time the party will agree to wait for people to rebuff.
If it’s one “useless” in the group who’s taking forever, yeah, it makes sense to ditch them.

Being melee doesn’t mean you have to face-tank and be an idiot who never moves. You can kite while still being melee and keeping the mobs in the aoes, for example by jumping from one side to another of them.
260 is full of idiots who face-tank a whole room of mobs and die right away.

I mean, most DPS builds, let alone melee builds, cannot survive from repeated hits and poison by mobs in Lvl 260 dungeon compared to specialized builds like a CC cryokino/cryochrono build, a full CON build or a proper tank who is tanky enough to take hits. Most DPS just go in, do their DPS rotation and midway just run around the room scattering mobs because they are dying. New warlocks realize the power in Dark Theurge and simply use it and run into mobs that will clearly kill them, or take all the aggro from monsters with their DPS instead of being a bit more careful since wizards aren’t the most sturdy classes.

Doesn’t have to be a melee to hold a group of mobs, most of the time it isn’t the melee who’s holding the group of mobs anyways.

Poison is gonna kill you quickly because it does percentage of your hp in damage. I’ve seen too many people die there to always prepare antidotes when attempting.

So this is the route followed in fedimian generally.
Honestly, it does look better to the ones we do in this region.
This is self explanatory so not going to write the path again.
thanks @Su-Kral for giving me another better path and @Anikk for confirming and making this pic.
Although I doubt I can bend the ways of entire server to follow this. But this look better path to me.
