Founder servers will be ghost towns in no time

We have plans to add new servers in June in accordance to the player base

New players may decide which server they wish to play on depending on the server situation

Once f2p finally comes who in their right mind is going to join a server where everyone is already maxed out with 3 months worth of grinding gear and items making the marketplace prices higher then new players could afford, only complete idiots will join a server were the population has had a 3 month headstart on them. Server transfers shouldnt be allowed for them 3 month ahead of everyone either, that would just ruin new servers economy, a week or even a month wouldnt be bad but a full 3 month headstart is insane, hope you enjoy your dead server compared to the rest of the servers.

IMC will merge low pop servers or allow server transfer

Thats way easier than merging.

It depends really.

We have no idea how many new servers there will be at launch and whats their capacity like.
During CBT launch, the beginner zones were crowded and lagged so much that it was difficult to play. Some players might decide to go to founder servers to have a smoother experience. That being said, there might be queues during peak hours for new servers.

Many factors to consider other than outright bashing that founders server will be dead. And looking at kToS, it seems there will be a cross server function for dungeon runs.

If your main concern is open world activities… well… there aint much really imo.

  • megaphones are a cash item now, so I dont think people will be spamming them like OBT lol.

My question is what does that matter to you? If people want to pay money for a server that you yourself say f2p players won’t be playing anyways, whats the problem? The f2p server will be full of people in June that didn’t want to pay for early access. So, again what is the problem with this? It won’t impede on anyone’s progression as they won’t be playing it anyways. The founders server would be filled with founders and the f2p server would be filled with f2p players.

I just leave that there. it’s on the main page of the website

New players may decide which server they wish to play on depending on the server situation.

I’m more concerned about server capacities at launch. Will there be absurd queues and server instabilities. Will they be making a premium queue system for token players (which then again makes f2p players unable to play at peak periods). Creating more servers only creates a new problem of MORE empty servers few months after launch.

I do wonder how kOBT was like and whether they do have that large influx of players at launch…

It doesn’t solve the core problem that there was a bait-and-switch and that this is a cash grab. Letting more people play doesn’t change that.

pls tell us more about this stupid stuff. Ghost town?
A Tos server has up to 3-4k players and there are allready 3k-4k players
who wanna buy founder = full + a second one full perhaps

ghost town? nop

If smth would be different to the founder server and the f2p one its the bot problem cause bots will start on the new server cause it would be stupid as a gold farmer to join a server where no gold farmer had access to while the community has allready enough gold or stuff and dont need dat â– â– â– â– . So yeah f2p server is doomed NOT the founder one

Thats your personal problem. A company isn’t obliged to be nice to anyone, it just helps having a neat image. As far as I know, you know already about IMC’s reasons to do so. And I know that you dont care about that, only nagging about how questionable their decisions were moral wise.

As the openbeta was announced to be “soon” IMC hadn’t the liquidity problems they have now. They need cash. And thats it. Be mad at them, go from thread to thread and write hostile replies to anyone with less issues you’re having, encourage your hater-friends and do whatever you want.

Nobody cares nor will anything change by doing so. I hope it least it will make you feel better.

Up this, thats the way i think too.

I’d prefer mixed servers instead of one full of founders and one full of free to play people.

Sorry but what liquidity problems? What reasons? Has IMC communicated any of this or are you just pushing your opinion onto me? Sounds like you don’t like what I am saying and are trying to invalidate what is a perfectly legitimate assessment of what they have done.

IMC certainly cares about the backlash. They would have tried to cover up their Open Beta announcement by deleting it, nor would they have said that they need to deliberate. So clearly something is changing, something is being considered.

founders servers will never be a ghost town since those are were the quality players will likely gravitate towards.

your lack of understanding of economy/marketplace is also showing.
stuff won’t be more expensive in those servers, they’ll be cheaper.
the 3 month period will level out the marketplace, making the economy more stable (tho the influx of new players will likely drop prices even more upon F2P release)

new servers are where the marketplace will be expensive and absurd in the beginning.

Been playing BDO for the last 3 weeks and stuff was crazy expensive at the start while the market continues to stabilize, the same was for Blade & Soul.
it’s like this for all MMORPG.

There will probably won’t even be a founder’s server cus of all the people whining

Good.

Thats something anyone would notice by simply reflecting any of IMC’s actions and setting it in relation with reasoning on how and why people react in different situations. Or in short, common sense. Simply ask yourself what could have made a company act like that, the plausible answers are obvious.

Either accept that or continue being hostile, you are just confirming my view of you anyways.

Your continuing nagging and hostility against anyone being neutral or positive about IMC’s decisions is annoying, yes. Being destructive doesn’t help anyone. Its the most selfish form of critism. Yes, you are selfish. And yet, you’re judging IMC as being morally reprehensible.

Of all the haters around, who are mostly just annoyingly stupid, you are by far the smartest. So do yourself a favor and stop throwing stones while sitting in a house of glas.

IMC is a company, so they care for public relation at least to a minimum. The staff is merely trying to limit the damage caused by their higher ups decisions. Thats the least they are able to do. And again, ask yourself why would they do that? Apparently because they are still not allowed to just be honest with the community.

Feel free to dislike that.

best option would to simply just switch the game over to B2P.
base price $30
with additional packages with TP like the founders packs.

therefore the people crying about having to pay still have to pay and whine about it
and those that were going to pay are unaffected.
