Meh, was going to grab another pack with the discount when it went on sale but with this price increase I’m not going to bother, the Canadian to USD exchange rate is currently very crappy.
I also don’t understand the people saying now that we are paying usd everything is fair. Like you do realize usd isn’t the only currency in the world and whatever we were paying was our countries equivalent of the exact same amount of money, all this is doing is causing us to pay, in most cases, a needlessly inflated price. Don’t think that I’m the only person thinking like this. When the exchange rate from canada to the usd started getting bad I had a group of around 8 friends that all quit ffxiv because the sub fee was in usd and it became closer to 17$ a month instead of the 12.99 it should have been if they didnt force you to pay in usd.

The question is: Can IMC do that? They promised a discount of 30% based on the original price, and now they just doubled this price right before the discount come out. Is it legal?
Exchanges rates are dictated by your country’s GNP. If anything blame yourselves and your countrymen for having such low GNP.

They haven’t actually changed the price, though. It’s the same price, they just are using proper exchange rates now instead of Steam’s regional pricing, which itself has a long history of being abused.
its not because of our GNP. its because america has a manipulative power over the world. thats why their currency is being use as the #1 worldwide. i wouldnt say more about the rothschild propaganda etc. but its the fact why USD is stronger compare to other currencies

I like this game, that’s why i was trying to ignore all the problems and the broken things, even bought two packs to support them more. Then just poor decisions and more poor decisions.
If they keep it on TP prices in a game where is almost impossible to make huge profits without a Token with such ridiculous limitations on market, ppls will buy from gold sellers instead and this game will die really fast.

They changed the price, lol. Before I had to pay 15 dollars and now I have to pay 40. Isn’t it a price change?
They also changed the amount of TP in packs to 455, 266 and 112, so you should worry about it as well if you were going to buy extra packs on sale. Because you were fooled just like me.

Only for you that it feels like an “equivalent amount of money” but to IMC it is just less money from the same product sold. IMC uses amazon to host the game server, they can’t just go to amazon and be like “hey man, so x amount of traffics are coming from y countries, and according to their minimum wages, they should be entitled to pay only what they feels is equivalent in their currency. So here’s the payment for the servers that other games also uses this is what we think is equivalent payment in our Korean currency.”

Right, but Steam’s regional pricing stills the same, they just changed it exclusively to ToS. Can they do that according to Steam rules without any announcement?
its not original. because they’re using steam as their marketing medium, and steam have taken the right action for giving a different regional prices. if its original then they should run their own client, not by running account via steam.
