Found this build, is it good? DPS/Swordsman

I need a PvE build to play in a team of 2, my friend intended to do a Cleric/Bokor/Bokor//Bokor/Druid/Druid, so i want to do a balanced class that can do some damage and don’t die fast.
Then, after lots of tries, i found this build:

Is it good? It need some improvements (since it’s kinda outdated if we seeing the creation date) or i can follow it?
Which stats should i put for this build?

If this is not good (too much skill based maybe? I don’t know), can you advice me something good?

I was thinking about the Cataphract too but i know nothing about it.

On Swordsman, ditch Thrust. Max Pain Barrier, Gung Ho, Concentrate.

On Highlander, if you don’t feel like you’re going to use timed manual blocking, just ditch Cross Guard, take Wagon Wheel. That skill is not for everyone.

On Barbarian, ditch Helm Chopper, max Seism (More damage, more aoe, lower cooldown than helm chopper and it also has a stun)

Doppel, get 8/10 deeds of valor for 100% uptime. You can then go with zornhau, zucken, redel and cyclone at level 5 OR you can go with zornhau, zucken at level 5 and cyclone at 10. Your choice.

2 remaining points can go into double pay earn or mordschlag, again, your choice.

And what about the stats i should use? Maybe 6 str 2 dex 1 spr?

At the beginning, take 2x bonus to stats on con, spr and dex

(Every 5th point in one stat, you get +2, instead of +1)

With swordsman’s base stats, this means you put 2 points into CON, 2 points into SPR and 5 points into DEX. At the beginning of the game

After that, put everything into STR until you reach a decent amount (100+), then start putting points into DEX.

I use Finestra’s +crit bonus as my guide on how much dex to get in my builds. So you’re aiming to have +150 dex for a decent crit rate, the rest should be in STR.

Anyway, if you use Finestra’s then your build imply an Hoplite, are you a tank or dps too?
If you’re dps, can you show me your build? I’m kinda interested in the hoplite too.

I just said that I use Finestra as a guide on how much DEX I should put into my builds (any builds), because with maxed Finestra, you’re critting a lot, DEX is not needed then.

I’m playing my hoplite corsair doppel build right now, it’s my build for farming.

That’s a curious build, you will use at least 4 different weapons plus the shield for the hoplite, right?

As i said on my 1st post i’m playing with a Friend who is a Cleric x2/Bokor x3/Druid x2 that’s why i’m always unsecure on which build to use, even the class, but i tried with the wizard and, well, it didn’t go so well, the archer, never tried.
So here i am asking to anyone about builds, but i still have to find my own path.

I’m using mostly spear and shield right now, switching to mace/sword to exploit the weaknesses. Once I hit corsair, I’m switching to spear + dagger.

Don’t bother with Archer, it’s not beginner friendly.

And what stats should i use if i want to use your build? (originally, if you read my other threads, you will see that i wanted to be a corsair :X)

Will this build work well with me teammate?

It’s a 50 dex, rest str build.

It’s a build I made purely for farming. I won’t be doing anything else with it. Once it reaches close to cap, I’m just switching to a new character and using this one to farm extra currency and stuff.

Not that it can’t be used regularly.

I see, mmh, can you then help me with an Hoplite Build that can be useful even in the end game?
I said Hoplite because i was said that it’s the most reliable build for the Swordman

I’ll do basically only PvE in this game, maybe in the future i’ll do a character for PvP, who knows.

Just do my build then. As I’ve said, it can be used regularly, it’s just that I personally am not using it for that.

My friend that I duo with is on a trip, he’ll be back in 15 days, so I’m playing this for now and starting a new character with him, when he’s back.

Anyway, that’s a fine character to duo with anyone. You have a taunt and you do awesome dps and you also have cyclone for decent aoe, too.

Stat wise you said dex 50, should i max it asap or do like a 1:1 str dex?

No, add 50 dex once you reach 100 str. then go back to str.

You have Finestra, it gives you +10 crit per level, that’s +100 on level 10, which is 100 dex worth of crit, so you don’t need more crit.

Because we’re only taking c2 hoplite and 10/10 finestra, we go 50 dex to cover the missing 50 crit that we would’ve had, if we went 15/15 finestra.

And uhmm, just wondering about the first build, why putting only 2 points in con/spr and 5 in dex? I mean, only to help me with the early levelling?
