Is it too hard to not cherry-pick and quote of context?
I’ve already argued my point in the first post, and then I only addressed the points Rabbit wrote to me. Besides, it should be common sense to understand that publicly judging people even if trolls, spammer, etc are among those on the bad side or truly helpful people on the other is wrong.
Picking out the important bits of a text is vital to understanding the text. If you find that your arguments are suddenly rather unsupported, that is likely because this is their true state.
Common sense dictates that regardless of the intent of a thread, what matters is the direction it is taking at present. At the time when yourself and the other one entered this thread, the thread had merit, and a positive influence.
Normally I’d be the first these kind of threads have no positive effect.
But I dont judge a thread by its title or OP, but by its content.
You have. And then when you were replied to, you tried to discredit that reply by calling Strawman. I do not feel my request to use actual arguments was amiss here.
It should never be considered wrong to show respect to those that are truly helpful.
Here to revive this thread before dropping to oblivion. Summarise topic is so useful. if i know it sooner, i won’t waste half an hour reading trash posts
Back to topic, how did you all get into this forum (besides tos)? is it a norm to read forum before play a mmo? sometimes i love forum-ing than tos but vice versa too sometimes
i wanted to know if i fvcked up my build before starting the game (and i’m glad i did!).
Also before the community was “nice”, so i started posting.
We had some funny minigames back then, maybe we should start doing more of those…
I guess i am an abnormal one to play before forum and realise i am fked up for pelt-less. After dilemma for weeks, i finally found my escape plan for my 1st char
Don’t worry, 1st char. I am going to baby you till max lvl
I was actually Googling anime/2D mmo’s coming up and the forum was one of the results. I didn’t intend to be active at all [thus my icon with the covered mouth] ,but saw you needed an account to be considered for the first beta. Got hyped for that, got selected for it and I wanted to talk to other testers. Now here I am over a year later
I Googled “MMORPGs like Ragnarok Online” one day… and an article mentioned that a new game called Tree of Savior was in development and was suppose to be the spiritual successor to Ragnarok Online.
So, I joined the forums (which were only a couple weeks old at the time) and I waited for a hint of the first beta along with everyone else.
I’ve been following the game since it first was announced in South Korea. I was living there at the time. I kept an eye out on the dev, then joined the English forums soon after they opened.
I hate the naming games, I find it pointless and dumb…
why cant we just be simple blobs with opinions…
why the hell do people need to point the finger all the ■■■■■■■ time and put a label on each other…
all my life it has been the same ■■■■, you are this and you are that and to make me feel better than you I will pretend the stupid name I came up with make you less…
and stupid people will follow me with it like sheep jumping of a fence that is not even there…
