Yeah, he made MMOHut to be quite big. But heā€™s no longer part of MMOHut ^^
He has a new MMO-related website and channel now, as you can see. :smile:

Bah, mmohut nearly never does anything about the MMOā€™s i like, if anything, it is a sidenote!
I only knew about ToS because of Steparu,
Stepara because of Onion,
Onion because of Maplestory 2,
and i only knew Maplestory 2 because of Max, and who doesnā€™t know max ?! (Orangemushroomblog)

Really? Sidenote? Lol. I thot he always did well with his gameplay review. I enjoyed all of his reviews, even when heā€™s doing MMOā€™s that I donā€™t like. :smile:

Max, THE guy who gives the west all the news about maplestory one and two firsthand in english? While it is debatable how good Maplestory is, itā€™s influence is great enough - from itā€™s sheer age alone - that you should know about Max and Ornagemushroomblog atleast a little bit.

@Zefreonzack Oh, the quality is good, there is no debate about that.

actually i really wondered when omer comes back, as I really liked his voice on the vids and I mean james blond is nice too, but yeah , he was the first one :smiley: well I subs. his channel. I am only watching the recaps from mmohut anymore, dont have much time to read any more.

sorry man, I loved maplestory, but i stopped long time ago with it, I re-started it around 2 times and also played very early, but I could not get rooted there. (although I still miss the menu ost and the elinia, well actually all of them.

Oh, donā€™t get me wrong, im no longer playing Maplestory aswell - nothing did ever work, login was time consuming, hackers are everywhereā€¦

BUT ! It is still interesting to see itā€™s progress. Im personally surprised that Nexon (of all companies!) Now wants to start up an Server (called Reboot) without the pay-to-win cash items, like the cubes! I would have NEVER thought of the day i would see that happen.

After you mentioned a server without pay-to-win you sent me into quite the frenzy looking up articles and topics about this reboot world.

Sadly Iā€™ve long since gotten over maple. If it actually picks up some steam I might might possibly reconsider it. But its probably about time that maple died.

  1. Reboot World
    In this summer update, the new Reboot world
    will be born. The Reboot world is a server focusing on the fun of an
    RPGā€™s natural growth, collecting items and becoming stronger. This is
    done through the removal of selling items which significantly affect
    strength and reducing the reliance on Cash items through mesos.

    In the Reboot world, in order to bring back
    the RPGā€™s original fun, game play will be significantly changed.
    Sufficient items and money needed in the growth process will be acquired
    through regular gameplay. This reduces the burden of keeping track of
    money, allowing you to relax and enjoy the RPG. In addition, we will be
    simplifying enhancing equipment in order to reduce the gap between
    equipment items. We also want to make levelling up more fun and not just
    killing monsters repeatedly, so we will be making significant changes
    to monsters to make battling more interesting.
    All trading will be blocked in the Reboot
    world. Currently, in MapleStory, you can buy all the equipment you need
    through regular trading or the auction house. Although collecting money
    through trading is an important factor in MMORPGs, we think it is more
    important to fight against monsters and collect your own equipment and
    items. By acquiring equipment through your own gameplay instead of
    through a shop, we think it will make it a more fun RPG.
    Mind Reading Robot: Hello, Iā€™m a mind reading robot.
    To reduce the burden of Cash in the Reboot
    world, a new Cash Shop will be utilized. Because this server is designed
    to give you the items and money you need as you hunt and level up,
    there is not as much need of various item strengthening systems and
    thus, related Cash items will not be sold at all or will be available
    through mesos. Cosmetic items which do not affect game play will be sold
    for Cash like usual. These changes will reduce the burden of Cash items
    and allow you to enjoy the game whether or not you spend money on Cash.

    Through the implementation of the Reboot world, we want to show our
    true Mapleā€™s original intentions, and because of various limitations in
    existing worlds, we will do it with the Reboot world. We will continue

I missed Omer man, even when it wasnt a game I had any interest in playing at all, I still would watch just cause of how entertaining he could be. Especially when he would find that someone already took his name in a few mmos and the semi joking salt that would ensue haha.

I gotta say though, I am glad he broke off and is doing his own thing, and I really enjoy his podcasts as well.

Also surprised to see Shurelya from Riot joined up with him o.o
