For the record: this is what barbarians used to be

The reason why swordsman/barb or whatever works so good with the game is because:

Swords are good
Synergy between dex and str
Dex/str synergize pretty well with swordsman

Int/con/spr is pretty much trash just from the benefits a player will get. Str almost the same because the phys and critdmg benefit is pretty low to say I go full str. But as I said str/dex will boost each other.

And dont get me wrong Im not a barb addicted player but this class has just a good scaling overall with the game content which other classes only can dream of.

Wizards need something like a good regen of mana to spam their skills. Since they cant crit, they should still deal equal dps like crit characters because they are the full counterpart of them. Crit VS noncrit. Or at least be more spammy.

Archers, terrible. Played 4 of them with the best possible gear blabla and they was still ■■■■ and basicly not worth the time until lv 120+ where they start to shine. Full spr was good because maxed skills gave me like free 300+ dmg but it has the same problems like the mage class :slight_smile: capped dmg at some point.

Because or all class “suffer” or no class “suffer”.

That’s called balancing.

All classes have their strenghts and weaknesses, but some are way heavier than others, and there are some stupid mechanics that only some classes can constantly and easily use.

umm were discussing archers now.

Either or would work for me personally, as long as all classes are put on equalish footing. But the issue is buffing 40 classes or w/e were at is a lot more work then nerfing 1 or 2, so nerfing the few better classes seems like a more likely solution.

Paladin can overkill with smite easily ^^.

I see everyone is all riled up with their pitchforks. First it was the BR witch hunting now they are going after BRbarians.

All that barbarians are good for are mobbing. They are completely useless in pvp against anything they can’t dodge or get close to melee. They will drop like flies. Sure someone with c2 swordie will likely kill something they will get in melee range but they gotta have a good point in that department right?

Nobody ever complained about Wizards in RO being able to cherry pick maps and spam nothing but firewalls. Neither camping MVP spawns with a couple firepillars premeptivly placed, effectively killing the boss before his sprite could even be seen.

So sure let us go after the little man, deny the class the only thing it has going for it. Which is an early lead due to Catar Stroke and nothing more because all classes eventually scale to farm well depending how they are built of course. Someone spawing skeletons for instance never has to as much drink more than the cheapest pot in the game ocasionally or do anything else for that matter.

O.o not many MvPs in ro had fixed spawn rates tho. Moonlight Flower, turtle general,amon ra and drake come to mind as the only ones with fixed spawn rates.

ALL MVP in RO have fixed spawn rate… they are only off about 10-15 minutes every spawn…

It seems your reading comprehension is bad xD he said this “Neither camping MVP spawns with a couple firepillars premeptivly placed”. You can only do that with a few MvPs, you cant fill a whole map with fire pillars.

btw some MvPs have 30mins-1 hour of “down time”. ie: Spawns in 11-12 hours, 5:30-6 hours, etc.

All bosses used to have or most of them. I think the only exception was Maya and Orc Lord in the old days.

They also always had a one hour spawn time, except for stuff like Angeling.

Swordman classes are still stupidly strong.

Meanwhile mage classes , well lets just say that INT needs a rework.

having played barb and ranger i have concluded that archers arent necessarily weak… they just have to pot on cd to keep up w/ other classes

agreed, but only among plate-armored mobs. Plated flying mobs are almost always guaranteed insta gibs

they can technically put up a fight supposing the player built it DEX-CON and actually change gear into mace/1H sword + shield when engaging in PvP

but most of them are glass cannons with the most expensive 2H Sword they could buy.

Look who’s talking. I was replying to your post saying that not many MvPs in ro had fixed spawn RATES. Spawn rates means the TIME not the PLACE it will spawn. I don’t argue about firepillar, it’s stupid, you should just bring high priest with biochemist or champion for regular mvp.
