For the love of god revert the animation canceling changes

Holy Cr@p Fencer is nigh unplayable after whatever the hell they did. I used to be able to continously spam flaconnade and my others skills but now its like the animations are extended an extra .5 seconds which is horrific because it drastically slows down dps and the ability to kite or move attack.

Its very frustrating that they’d mess around with this stuff because some class LIKE WARRIOR WHO ALREADY HAS A HARD ENOUGH TIME, are just becoming more and more unplayable, its like i’m playing on 200 ping opposed to my about 40 ping. I know they won’t see this post, but god i hope they do.

I did a mission today and everything was weird. skills were taking longer to cancel their effects and it was a real hindrance.

i say this because i felt like the fluidness or fluidity was changed in a negative way. i much preferred how it worked previously. i left the game with a bad taste in my mouth. even sitting/standing is awkward.

i also have amazing pc and google fiber. and all i could think of when i was doing my mission run was how sluggish it felt. I pinged a few times to see if I was actually lagging… I wasnt… but the way they changed whatever they did impacted the game negatively.

Yes i constantly //pinged to make sure something wasnt up, my fps was 120 my ping was 40. whatever happened last made the game slugish and near impossible to play some classes that focus on using a skill and moving. like i was saying on my fencer, in order for me to change direction i have to let the skill finish, turn, then use the next skill

oh … i was looking for this kinda post, still at work havent had the chance to play today, but reading patch notes of June7th, saw this

The only one affected is QS3 since to cancel thier auto attack you need to use mouse mode. You shouldn’t be affected at all. Hakunas your tatas.

“Shouldn’t be” and “are being” are two different things, my character is being affected, its different from yesterday, therefore, they messed something up.

No one except QSer should have been affected. But I can confirm no classes were affected as I tested with a 140+ of swordie,mage,cleric & bow user before & after specifically to compare auto attack and skill spam times.

Pelt3 here. I actually thought I was being petrified by enemy monsters earlier. I kept standing still after skills and attacks, unable to move until I let go of all my keyboard buttons and waited half a second. I thought it was just on my pelt3 too when I realized there were no enemies with CC that I was fighting.

Nope! Got on both my Pyro & my Kino - auto-attacking is basically impossible now. It takes longer to auto-attack than it does to charge up a lvl 15 EB.

+1 these changes need to be reverted.

Pelt 3 here i did not notice what the post above mentioned i grinded for 3 hours perfectly fine no slugishness or anything different normaly shity servers as everyday…

They messed something up because like was mentioned, there’s like some kind of delay between some actions especially auto attacking feels like a tank on swordsman.

I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure there wasn’t ping related lag, but for the last few missions I did, this has for some reason made DWA (double weapon assault) for corsair feel somewhat impossible to consistently perform because the frame drops and off-timing and key presses all having something going on. If this feeling stays, I would rather they just made DWA AUTOMATICALLY alternate attacks with the off-hand weapon since this just somehow feels really bad now.

It’s now feels like it became a chore. And I liked the button mashing it needed before, felt responsive enough prior.

Edit: I use keyboard btw.

I use the controller. Ive always used the controller… and ive experienced heavy delay in most all of my actions that require more animation and stopped the cancellation…

like i said earlier… sit/stand is delayed… an amount of my skillshots are delayed… the game felt sluggish compared to 3 days ago… so even if you want to argue that “ITS ONLY FOR MOUSE”… its not… a change has been made globally. across all platforms… i felt it… i talked about it…

That’s strange. I didn’t notice anything different yesterday, but of course I also never animation cancel, I just keep “attack” button pressed to attack.

Also particularly strange because in the other thread QS3 players said that they can still animation cancel with mouse and that it wasn’t fixed at all.

stranger still. i never animation cancelled that i knew off. i just played with a controller. .i quick sit when i wanted too… i moved and fired when i wanted too… and I noticed a sluggishness that didn’t exist at all prior to yesterday… more than a FEW times did i //ping myself… look at my fps and wonder wtf is wrong with my connection… what i noticed didnt exist in cbt… didnt exist in the 100 days prior to yesterday… so there is that

and im not a QS…

nope got no effect on my QS3 atk spd at all. still shooting fast as hell for sure

Confirmed what u stated my qs3 still does op aa’s , I think its my barb which got affected by this aspd and skill spam seem to be sluggish by a bit.
