For the love of god please stop saying "I dropped [loot]"

First of all, I am not a grammar ■■■■ and English is not even my first language.

But I am seeing more and more people, even people that speak perfect English use the term “I dropped [insert whatever loot here]” when something dropped for them. “I dropped a unique bow” “my friend just dropped a toy hammer”

which is really annoying and doesn’t make sense.

What about “Im a heal” and “LF 1 heal”.
You can heal, but you are definitely not a heal! :stuck_out_tongue:

that’s actually fine and makes sense cause you can interpret it as “I am a healer” or “looking for healer”

but “I just dropped this” made no sense, as if you killed a boss and loot magically dropped out of your arse

You can’t pick and choose. I can interpret that as he made the mob drop it, just like anyone using that phrase interprets it.

However, I’m not an interpreter and would like to read English.

The point is that everyone understands the message. So whats your problem?

You know, from my own experience trying to tell other people what to do and what not to do over the internet doesn’t really work.

But that’s none of my business so i’ll just dropped on this subject.

i dropped mic
*drops mic

The problem is that its retarded engrish and people know better. Its like saying tanker or using 2kk instead of 2m. Everyone knowns its the wrong way to say it but they do it anyways. The same people should be shoved into a hole with the ones who use “u”, “c” and “r” as words.

You should never tolerate stupidity.

[/quote]You’re asking stupid pepole to not tolerate stupidity?

Alright I’m outta here. I’m asking for trouble.

You’re calling it stupidity and I’m calling it natural evolution of language - some trends will be forgotten and some will stay. Don’t tell me that you’ve never used “OK”? And I hope that you are aware that its etymology is from wrongly spelled “all correct” - and yet people are using it for a long time now. Besides if the stupidity was banned then there would be less than 1% of population which would remain xP

This is new to me, what server is this? Never saw it happening on Klapedia server.

NO…JUST NO.

You, did not drop anything. The monster did. Use your possessives correctly. If you can not do this, go back to school or stop speaking English. That is not evolution, that is de-evolution. defending this makes you just as bad.

Your opinion.

Words change their meanings across the centuries. If something is incorrect right now, it doesn’t mean it will be in 100 years. Is it bad? De-evolution? Maybe. But thats just life, and on the long run, there is nothing you (or anyone else) can do about it

Those are class type designators, though.

So you have [Heal][Tank][DPS], as if “I am/can Damage Per Second” makes any more sense. It’s more like “I’m Heal spec” or “I’m geared to Tank” but everyone drops off the fluff for quick and easy match making.

Not to mention party name character limitations make “LF someone with a class focused on healing skills” out of the question.

It’s different from casual conversation where you’d expect natural language. If you’re talking about your experiences, you might want to choose words that actually mean what you want to convey, rather than nonsense or practically the opposite.

If you dropped gear, doesn’t that mean you lost it? Sorry to hear you dropped that rare bow, but maybe you shouldn’t have clicked Yes on the prompt? Try locking your important things so you don’t accidentally drop them next time.
