Just to clear it up, I have no idea if there is or isn’t going to be a wipe, but it’s very possible if IMC wanted to.

Considering I played XIV v1 Alpha to XIV v2 Present day. IMC is NOT SE and cannot afford to lose any of it’s player base. (besides BR’s but that’s another story)

A wipe would be suicide for the company and considering I have 7 80-100+ Characters which I spent working on while not at my 40 hour a week job, I’d drop this game like a bad habit and ask for a full refund of my 90$.

For me they could wipe, no problem at all.
And no, I’m not low lvl, I’m in the 7th position in the EU server with a 233 Dragoon.
But, come on, it has just three weeks of server, it’s not like you played it for years…

I’m not even sure why you brought ffxiv up. I was a legacy ffxiv player and they didn’t even wipe the servers. The only thing Square Enix did was to reduce every player’s gil by /10. So if you had hit the cap of 999mil during 1.0, you would end up with 99 at ver 2.0.

Wipe isn’t possible for this reasons:

  1. Player already used their early access pack. Wipe=removing those packs.
  2. I bought a skill reset. If wipe, I wasted money.
  3. If they wipe and give early access pack, peeople get double early access pack benefits. I spent part of my tp, i don’t get that tp back, i sue.

i don’t think you understand what a “wipe” means.

EVERYTHING IS BURNT
all your everything, all the time you spent grinding, nothing is left.
you don’t even get to keep your team names, if they wipe.

of course, founder packs can still be bought, so it would be easy to just re-issue those.

but how would that be “double” benefits? everything (used or unused) from the previous ones would be destroyed.

No… the Pack will be still bound on your acc, as well as your Skill reset potion.

So you’ll have no characters and a mail in your lodge with all the items you pay for it, tokens, reset potions…
