For pardoner buffs seller

Hi guys just want to asked quick question for those pardoner who sells buffs

How do you guys make money with price very low?
Im a pardoner too started last night. Heres my thought. Based on my computation correct me if im wrong.

Most vendor sells their buffs for like
Sacrament = 700
Blessing = 650
Aspersio = 650

In my mind WTH!!
What they earn

Capital cost
10x holy water = 50 ea x 10 = 500 for aspersio
10x gyslotis = 35 ea x 10 = 350 for sacrament
10x holy powder = 20 ea = 200 for blessing

Buffs price - 50% tax - capital cost

Sacrament = 700 - 50%tax - 350 Cost = 0 earn
Blessing = 650 - 50% tax - 200 cost = 125 earn
Aspersio = 650 - 50% tax - 500 cost = - 175 lost

so i just dont seems to understand how this works to you guys any advice or suggestion will be appreciated. Thank you.

Usually the lowest i see, granted just klaipeda and not checking all channels and saving shop locations via notepad or something, is 800. heck when I saw 700s I bought from them all day. saw 300 once…

perhaps the low aspersio price you see is due to low sell counts? however I’ve started to run into some quests on my swordie I begin to melt some if I dont swap to sword and shield from sword and dagger, so I will be grabbing aspersio soon too maybe.

“How do you guys make money with price very low?”

We don’t. Most Pardoners these days sell their buffs at cost of materials or very little above it, like you see. They do this to help other players, not to make money. If you went Pardoner with the intention of making money, I hate to tell you this, but you picked the wrong crafter class for that…

The money makers are Alchemists and Squires, Pardoners haven’t been considered a money maker for months at this point, and it will only get worse as time goes on.

@whiningwillow do you mind elaborating on Alch money making? I thought the recipes only had unremarkable items, was that changed or do they make money another way?

@topic: yeah Spell Shop basically doesn’t make money. At least not currently. Simony might be able to make some depending on the person’s build, however.

Not so sure about [simony] either.

Let’s say you’re selling lv 1 [barrier]. It’s a pretty hot item. It costs 700s to make and is now selling at what? 1k? Ignoring the listing fee we deduct 100 as the 10% tax (assuming you have token). Then deduct the 700 production cost. You’re left with 200.

Pretty sure you make more just grinding.

@c2gaming at least you can use your own Simony scrolls on demand though, from a Pardoner alt to your main, for example.

A lot of the scrolls are still pretty useful, and might not always be available in the market when you need them. Barrier ones require Paladin3 for example, so they’re very impractical to make.

But are all of them really that cheap? I expected at least the Barrier one to be decently expensive.

Alchemists gem roasting is a big market and all the crafters I have talked to (many of which own all 3 main crafters), say they make the most money that way because there isn’t much competition.

Squires with level 15 weapon buff have also reported making decent money, though they still aren’t making money hand-over-fist; no class really is. Still, the Pardoner’s make the least out of all of them, which most of the time is nothing or a loss.
