What would be better for farming with a corsair?
choose between sword and spear wherein sword is barb and spear is hoplite
Skill-wise barb wins because of aoe skills and also has a pull skill which is good for farming.
On the other hand hoplite offers huge amount of crit rate and pierce damage, no aoe skill like seism though.
Oh and btw spears have better stats than swords atm that is, might change once we get new content.
Now you choose 
you freaking forgot the most important part, that hoplita c2+corsairc2 does massive dmg.

If you’re leaving that on corsair C1
Barb wins, dust devil now has 3 charges and cleave does slash bonus.
If you’re going with corsair c2 both are okay but hoplite is better.
Sw1-Pelt1-Barb3-Cor1-Dop1
Flag is not that good that you’d build a farming char around it. Double Pay IS that good, on the other hand. Dust Devil with 3 charges of slash x3 attacks is fine and also a CC. Plus hook for nasty mobs (saved me a lot of times) or dat key skill, never tried it.
Both Barb3 and Doppel3 will shine in PvE and really farm like crazy, so I’d forego Corsair for both of those, tbh.
