Focus target seems wonky, specially in missions (controller)

Haven’t had problems so far… playing archer

I have the lock target on, but I specially noticed this today during missions with the bosses + minions.

My character starts switching automatically on minions, sometimes even missing the target altogether and its quite a bit annoying

Is there any suggestions ? maybe i messed something up

Can’t help much but the lock target has always been wonky. It’s so wonky that KS-ing is nearly always caused by it. There’s no help but to either switch to mouse mode or spend a lot of time walking in circles and fiddling with the right analog stick. Although, the keyboard’s lock target seems to work better.

odd, i mean im no expert but im lvl 104 atm and JUST started to have more apparent issues. I mean yes its always been slightly wonky, but the missions just made it behave so stupid.

For example in the Siaulai missions, where u protect the fire or whatever, the mobs approaching the party i try to hit them, but many of the times i just hit the air, it doesnt do the auto targeting.

While not perfect, its not as bad as in the regular field maps

Are you facing them? Try running towards them, it usually triggers the targeting system. (That lazy system. Get off your bum!)

Also, could it be the lag instead? (in case they are targeted but not attacked) Lag does eat up your arrows. So do Tree Root Crystals that, for some bizarre reason, gets priority over mobs targeting you.

yeah the stam trees are a pain that way.

I dont think its lag, idk, I just thought it was a tad strange how the mission felt.

Sadly there’s not a real focus target, that pretty much locks the target and doesn’t release it, despite distance, etc

i was thinking it could be when im moving away from the boss to avoid AOEs, but he remains with his HP bar targeted/on my screen, yet if i get abit close and theres other targets theres a high chance ill hit the minions, even though his HP bar is right there XD.

Oh, that issue. Take a look to the right of the boss’s hp bar. If you see a minion’s hp bar, chances are you’re aiming at the minion instead of the boss. The auto-release for target lock is also quite wonky. Sometimes, it just needs me to turn away from the mob, sometimes it wants me to walk half a map away from it.
