Fletcher experts come in

I think he means:
You take hakka to benefit from mobile playstyle.
But magic arrow still requires you to stay at one spot (to lock the mob/boss).
So you aren’t mobile at all.

Kneeling: turn your DEX stat into +physical damage during Kneeling.
with attribute = +10% crit rate during Kneeling.
More z-attack range.
More z-speed.
Cannot cast skills.
Jump to cancel Kneeling.
Costs mana per kneeling use.

I don’t use it on my A2 because I dislike being immobile, and I can’t fit kneeling into my fletcher skill spam.

@seifer0692 You fire MA -> kneel for bonus physical damage -> some extra MA attack. Similar for wugushi poison, sapper trap, etc.

No, it is not strong, it is just a small bonus.
Once you drop MA, you will have the MA flame damage.
If you kneel, the flame damage will increase a little bit.

Yes, MA -> MS is more damage.

Interesting you say that, because I have a different take on it, like you said, magic arrow requires you to stay at one spot, I’m a dex build and just face tank since I evade so much anyways as I spam magic arrow, I may as well capitalize on it since I’m already in melee range and go in for the hakka combos, at least, that’s how I see it.

All fair points, definitely some of which I’m totally with. I actually rerolled my 242 qs3/musket to fletcher partly because of Mergen, figuring it was the typical route and I was excited to finally have using a 2H bow all the time be viable, I just worry that with the info coming from kTOS, it still sounds like you do more damage using an xbow and manamana than 2H :frowning: (though honestly, maybe I just need to stop worrying about min-maxing so much and just play the way I want to lol).

I’m sure both paths will have their pros and cons, but yea obviously so hard to decide on one path with only info on 1 circle!

Yep i have that hat. It was given to me. Good roll too
Yeah At this point its make or break. Its the only class with 2H bow. I rather have fun at this point. Grinding 2 fletchers to 280 feels like a chore now im just going to take it easy and enjoy my class.

@Nicola

Hi, i’ve been reading this topic from top to bottom. but i read somewhere that going for ranger 1 is useless because the point of going for ranger 1 will only help you from low - mid leveling. (is that all?) if that’s the case taking Ranger 1 is a waste. since later on you are not going to use any of its skills since Fletcher 3 skills will be your rotation.

Tell me what is your opinion on this matter. (since im new to archer. please enlighten me)

i cant decide for my new alt whether:
A3…SC1…FL3…
A2…R1…SC1…FL3…
A2…QS1…SC1…FL3

TYIA!

you forget there free steady aim 10% for 5 points.

Pretty much Steady aim = glass mole card without the need of drinking a pot and have 40% up time.

Which allow you to burst for that 10 seconds. Any more seems like a waste for that why you don’t see much C3 rangers …unless they are going old meta builds which still work just not as efficient maybe?

They scale kinda bad later part. It is good up to about 50-200?
Well theres spiral arrow for PVP so yea. @c3 Ranger

The later part is all about higher ranks and what your lower rank can provide you on utilities or additional over time damage.

3 ranks for 20% steady aim and out of date AOE etc. seems kind of waste where there are better stuff out there.
^ this is more relevant.

So taking A2 Swift steps here is better to be considered. Which is why people went A2>R2>F3 25% additional crit rate.

Steady aim is the reason why you want to go Ranger 1.
There are no good option at low rank. What are you going to take at rank 2/3?
QS1? Hunter 1? Those are out of question.
The only option are Archer 3 and Ranger 1

When you are a Fletcher, you will rarely uses filler skill. You don’t have time for that in your rotation. It’s a good idea to take buff in early ranks. The reason is simple, you have magic arrow with 5 sec cool-down (magic arrows x 2 in 10 secs with steady aim) give more damage than archer 3. Not to mention you have easier time leveling.

For you build I will rank them accordingly:

  1. A2…R1…SC1…FL3… <—Meta Fletcher. Most Pref. Build good for PVE/PVP/WB. Steady Aim 10% scale with late game rank 8/9/10
  2. A3…SC1…FL3… <-----Still work but not as good as the first one. You get…Twin Arrows. Haven’t been beaten by this build yet at WB. Thaumaturge is my worse enemy D:
  3. A2…QS1…SC1…FL3 <------Burn it with fire

Twin Arrows < Oblique Shot

Oblique shot is your best friend
cheaper attributes Max at around 13 mils? 1-100 vs. 37 mils 1-100
Bounce!
Long ranger + no aiming require
Less SP
No Cooldown.
Good for kiting and gathering mobs
Korean uses Oblique Shot at max attributes <----

Leave it at Lv. 1 and just max attributes :3

How do you lvl Fletcher after lv220? Apart from Siauliau, since its damage is not AoE, I guess its not popular in parties for alemeth, etc…

thank you for a detailed answer. lastly, since your guide is still under construction what weapon do you use from lvl 70 +? a crossbow and a offhand? or a 2h bow?

thanks once again.

I’ve been using 2H bow for about 2 weeks now and have no problem WBing vs Isbality. (Maga bow +10 with t6 x 3 gems)
I have 2 Fletchers:

  1. A1-R3-F3 with 1:1 str:dex stats and 31 cons. This one will go Hakapelle.
  2. A2-R1-SC1-F3 -> Mergen. So I’m using only 2H bow to get a feel of Mergen. You will lack a lot of damage. Hence pumping your attributes on Magic arrow to stay competitive.

The population is so low that any grinding party is willing just take anyone they can get :stuck_out_tongue:
I’ve been with 2 healers and 2 swordies before, it wasn’t fun. Can’t really be picky when you want to grind. It’s better to get ‘some’ exp than wasting megaphone and not get your desired class. Gotta take what you can get at end game since we are lacking aoe :stuck_out_tongue:

noted thanks. do you have any favored equips on lvl 70?( i was thinking of using arde. and crossbow) can’t wait for your guide!.

At low level you want to level efficiently. Please do not go out of your way to farm weapon. Don’t worry about any weapon until 170. Everything before that are luxury. Unless you have an alt then it’s fine to get ‘epic’ low level stuff but it will become useless late game. Please save your silver for attributes this will benefit you more toward end game.

If you really want a good weapon I suggested getting Iron Bow.

Archer is great at leveling. You have so many buff build in that you don’t even need to upgrade  once you get ranger 1 barrage everything get one shot.

Hi @Nicola , question about fletcher: is crossfire worth giving 15pts? from what i have read from other thread is that it gives weak damage. so investing 5pts to it. or none at all and giving it to Barbed arrow is kinda good idea?.
