I joined the game on july 8th 2017, created team and played the game. I liked it and decided to dropped $45 on TP to buy tokens and other stuff. Few days later on the 11th, “first time player Get Ahead event” pops up and I’ve already created team names on the 8th on both North America servers (Klaipedia and orscha) and wants to participate on the “first time player Get Ahead event”.
I’m late by few days, How can I delete team name on one of the North America server and start participating on the first time player event? or start participating without deleting my team name if possible. I hate to say it but the event is so rigid…
If not possible, I do not see the point that I should continue playing the game…kind of want to see all the skills and this event is awesome way to see all the skills.

IMC: Players will buy tp if we dont include accounts created 3 days before get ahead event.
IMC is still the master of trolling. Im sorry for your loss dude. You got imc’ed.
Wow, crap shoot then for me, was going to have my kids joined as well.
Based on your comments, the game won’t take my case seriously.
My guess is that the leftover TP is non-refundable also?
Oh well, good thing I’m only playing for few days and only lost $45…
You’d have to change team name with 150 TP and then make a new steam account in order to participate in new player event, sadly.
IMC costumer support is famously inflexible. too bad
IMC’s events are absolutely ■■■■■■■ terrible in regards to this.
They honestly don’t consider at all the people in between that would most likely just quit over something like starting a few days beforehand and having already spent money, or making an alt that’s tied to steam account being annoying as hell.
I’m really sorry that happened to you but you can’t really be blaming IMC for what happened. You were just unlucky to have created an account and donated right before they started the event.
The new player get ahead event is nice but it’s not a necessity. You can still get 8x exp tomes from whale event and you’re eligible for the guess the number event which new accounts aren’t. I still leveled a character to 330 in three days without the get ahead event.
You can still complain to the support about this problem but I doubt they’ll be doing anything about it. It’s an event, meaning it’s just a bonus and not a complete game feature. There will also be players who will miss it entirely because they couldn’t play during the event period.
You can still be smart and take the best out of this situation. You can make a new account (is having the same team name really that important to you?), enjoy the event and after 5 days trade the TP items from your old account to your new one.
If IMC opens an exception to you they would also have to open an exception to everyone who leveled a new character a week or so before this event, which is completely nonsense.
They can definitely be blamed, I’m sorry but MMO companies realized that events such as this one that are inflexible and ESPECIALLY that have no warning beforehand make people NOT want to join the game.
Let me give you a hypothetical, you have a friend that wants to play Tree of Savior and is interested, do you tell him to join up right now (thus grabbing him at his peak interest) or tell him “Nah just wait and I’ll tell you when there’s an event”? That latter choice can lead to him losing interest, and this has happened to a few people I’ve suggested the game to.
In particular one of them joined between these and doesn’t get to play daily so he was really hit by that and just said ■■■■ it and quit.
Any normal MMO gaming company when they do an event like this will do one of two things:
- ‘Warn’ about the event well in advance, at least a week. This lets you gather said people and also helps make sure that they are not hit by ‘sudden’ news, if I decide to play iwithin that previous week, I’m not hit hard by not being included, it was my choice and the info was there.
- Retroactively consider accounts within the last few days. This is typically the case we see, because no one can predict the future, and if IMC doesn’t say ■■■■ until the day of (which is exactly what they did), no one would have known an event was coming specifically for leveling new characters.
IMC has made a lot of macro level decisions that leave it clear that they do not actually have a clear direction they want to take the game in short term, and it’s sad because they are losing a lot of people over it, similar to launch problems and the way they treated things.
BTW I haven’t seen events planned this bad in an MMO I was playing since about 2006-2007 with some of the pretty bad LaTale events or maybe Ghost Online.
Everytime an event period ends another one starts. You don’t know what it’ll be, but you can surely prepare yourself beforehand.
I agree with you that warnings beforehand would be nice, but I disagree with you saying that events (without warnings) draw people away from the game. There’s many people right now (old players) making new accounts and enjoying (almost like exploiting) this new event. Would you prefer having an event without warning, or no event at all?
When ToS started they didn’t have any events at all. This whole event thing started because the community started complaining about it.
But I’m not going to be arguing if events without warnings are bad or not. My suggestion for @tsumardi right now is to make a new account and be patient for 5 days before he can finally trade TP items with his new account. If he wants to try out all skills (as he stated in his post) then he shouldn’t be wasting time waiting for support which probably will do nothing about it (but I always hope they prove me wrong).
Because not having any events at all was ok.
Almost every mmo I had played always warned their players 1 week ahead of time. Tree of savior is special. They announce 1 day before the maintenance.
I doubt IMC will look on this case. They will just have a copy paste empathy statement.
We will look upon this case.
Nothing changed kek. The biggest change in this event is there is a lot of smurf accounts now and lots of the new account peeps I have partied was full of necros. Mildly suspicious about this.
Yea, that’s the thing, how many of those new accounts are just alts?
Let’s say you get interested in a new game on steam, but you also talk to your friends on steam.
Do you really want to make a new account that means you have to log out, log in to new account, launch game, use a workaround to close steam without closing game (Klil it with task manager), then log back into your normal steam account so you can chat with friends.
The whole system is anti-steam friendly and anti-player friendly for alts. On the other side it makes it a little harder to run alts and in particular harder because of steam.
100% he should make a new account, IMC isn’t going to change overnight, I just hope they get their ■■■■ together eventually… even Nexon America went from one of the worst rated MMO companies period for customer service to one that is actually half decent if not one of the better MMO ones.
Also saying without warning or no event is pointless, that’s not a question the question is whether they give warning. The people who design events(IMC ‘Korean’ Staff/actual staff on the game itself) and the ones who post (IMC ‘English’ Staff aka basically Community Manager) are a totally different group. They may be restricted by the info they get, but interacting with the community and making a positive experience is part of their job, and it’s a completely different job than the person who’s making that content.
Very helpful community, thanks for all the help and suggestions. So from my understanding, I can’t delete my team name from any of the servers and my only option is to create new steam account. Smh, I don’t understand why can’t anyone just join first time event regardless of first time player or not. I’ve downloaded 10 gigs of this game, once I delete the game , I’m moving on to other game out there. I originally don’t understand why the reviews give 6 out of 10 since the gameplay is good, fun with many quests and the environment is beautiful but now I know, the game is not carefully managed and very rigid.
That is 100% correct
