Firemonk build: will this work well?

I’m looking to build a slightly different monk build - I know it might not be optimal but I enjoy krivis a great deal and want to incorporate this into my monk build. Would this work for late game? I know it’s slow to start, but it does pick up when mobs and dungeons start to get harder.

A few questions:

  1. I assume Priest 1 is essential due to blessing and reincarnation? Or would monk 3 make up for the loss of these?
  2. Would it make more sense to go monk2 oracle or monk1 oracle monk2 near late game as oracle will help farming sooner?

Appreciate any suggestions.

  1. nope, res is quite nice in earth tower but most of the time it’s a luxury.
    Cleric2 or priest3 however are recommended so a cleric can keep it’s party alive better.

Blessing’s dmg is isignificant later on.

  1. Monk2/Oracle.

But honestly krivis offers nothing of value for a monk, phys and magic dmg scale of entirely different stats and you don’t have that many buffs.

Thanks for the reply. I realise that. But surely HP regen and critical buff/debuff and STR/INT buff could be useful in a monk build? Out of those spells only Zalciai is reliant on another stat (SPR) according to the TOSbase.

I’ll definitely consider taking cleric 2 instead of priest 1 though if that will make me more useful in a group setting.

Aukuras requires a lot of work to be of use. (skill lvl 15 + squire food table buff + high lvl restoration can make it decent) But even then it still has a far to long cd and can be killed by mobs.

Zalciai is only useful if you have spr, and it may enable a pure spr monk build but it will require you to buff and debuff everything you fight with zalciai first. It’s also currently untested so be warned.

Zaibas is magic dmg, magic dmg always scale of int.
Physical dmg, and thus all monk skills, scale of str.
The more points you put into a stat, the larger your stat bonus is. So focusing on one stat is a lot better.

Typically speaking, monks are best with cleric2/diev2 for full dmg, cleric2/bokor2 for higher move speed and a invuln or as a cleric/priest3 for better defenses.
r7 is optional tbh.

Hmm if that’s the case do you know of a build where Aukuras is useful? Not a fan of heal traps. I really like the skill and wouldnt mind playing that sort of build. I read that a sadhu build can work well with Krivis. Thanks again for the tips.

Any int build benefits quite a bit from krivis, since zaibas should scale double with int.
And buff heavy classes like priest benefit a lot from daino for pvp.

But aukuras is pretty much worthless in it’s current state. Even at it’s best it can’t compete with dmg prevention skills.
