Fireballs, it's stupid mechanic and Flare

Yeah fireball’s “anyone can kick the balls” mechanic is so stupid for many reasons. Pyromancer revolves around nothing but Fireballs.

Yes a Caster Class has only 1 spell he uses 90% of the time. All other spells are garbage. Yes even after Pyro Circle 2. I would say C3 but am not sure about Hell’s breath efficiency. You could say Flame ground is good but it consumes too much mana for a low dps immobile spell. Dont even talk about Fire pillar or Firewall.

So the fact that any melee attack intentional or not can mess up the only damage source of Pyromancer is just stupid. It is so much better to solo the bosses rather than party with someone who kicks off your main damage source.

It feels so annoying to stand there like a retard when both your balls are kicked away and you watch them ks the mobs easily.

Yes I know this has been posted many times, but it deserves so much rant.

And for lack of other “reliable” source of damage for Pyro when balls are on CD or kicked away should be Flare. But right now Flare has 2 times to be used before it goes to CD. For a single target damage it is so bad. It should be similar to Oblique shot with no CD. It would be still be balanced because it is single target damage and it requires enemy to be on Fire. Would be great to solo bosses.

I’ll agree that they should make fireball non-movable except by you. The mechanic is unique though… make it a cheap attribute or something so you can turn it on and off.

However… putting flame Ground and low DPS in the same sentence. You serious? The fact that it can hit an unlimited amount in its duration unlike Fireball has immense value.

Not sure what level you are, but SP efficiency stops becoming an issue once you reach the early to mid 100s. The only thing limiting my killing speed are my CDs and my HP. Mostly my HP. I’d burn all my SP at once if it keeps my HP bar healthy. When stuff hits you for 1/5 your HP, you will find yourself sitting down with a full SP bar more often than not.

The low dps is when there is a Melee class around you contesting or trying to ks the mobs and you cant do anything but wait them to get the kill credit. All they do is basic attack(AOE) which easily out damages our Flame ground. Not stating the fact that once the mob moves we look like a clown. Flame ground is only good for fully stationery bosses because finally the DPS adds up for quite some damage. But for securing kills? Nope. If a skill which consumes tons of SP with long CD and is immobile does lesser damage than a basic attack then yes low DPS.

As for SP, I didnt say SP becoming any issue anywhere. It is that the SP for a spell with such issues is too much.

Myself linker too. Nevertheless the point stands.

I find the Fireball skill useless, I did not even wasted a point on it,
I would preffer if the Pyromancer itself starts shotting the fireball to an enemy direction, or if the Fireball was a skill kind of like Magic Missile, but without multiple shots.

Lol no! Fireball has insane damage and stays for long time for further mob damage. It is the only spell that makes pyromancer a class to be advanced to. So yea it is not useless and max it ASAP otherwise you will suffer damage wise.

Agree with you, it’s plain stupid that other players can push your fireballs away from mobs (without even intending to do so !!! like when you party with a swordsman)

O when you jerks put your fireballs a spawn points i definitely intended to move them. lol

Cant agree more to this, c2 pyro c1 thaum myself, putting fireballs on top of mob spawns is one thing but partying up in a group i had moments where i felt pretty useless cause my fireballs were kicked away immediately, also it doesnt happen intentionally, either its you dealing 70% less dmg or your swordsmen…
On a side note cryo snowball “picks up” our fireballs as well as mobs, awesome synergy there

What do you mean by Picks up? As in it sticks to the big snowball?
