Oh there isn’t. You can matchup with anyone at any level range. I like it this way though, it makes the grind somewhat worth it. Too bad pvp has no real rewards and it is just for the thrill.
Aren’t there like PVP titles and rankings?
assuming IMC is following their Arena PvP model in Granado Espada, the MM matches you with people the same ranking as you. My characters in GE only consisted of (healer, bard, cannoeer) I just spammed AoE knock back skills as much as I can to contribute to the team and continue to win eventually I get matched against higher ranking strong players.

i believe there is a division your rank 26 of x division.
In granado espada there are 5 division if i remember correctly,
