It seems that Mergen is pure BS right now if u compare it with other R8 classes. I’m waiting for further information of our pro Mergen players to decide which path I’ll take, either Mergen or Hakka.
If we follow ktos trend:
Mergen underwhelming
Halka underwhelming
Cannon2 underwhelming
Falcon3 support
Musket2 burstgod
Reiter3 aoe
However still viable. Do not compare to dragoon2 and fencer3.
Im currently at work but i had about 6-7 hrs this morning experincing with Mergen. Yes, its underwhelming. Unless you have the right set up falc/linker/chrono. You will get outshined by other class. My friend did a ‘drive by’ as he called it on his sr3 and litterally wreck every mob.
I’m pretty pleased with my falcon3 damage, but I did just buy a didel gc.
And the falcon was broken for my entirety of falcon2 (not anymore! yay!)
So that’s not saying much. I did beat a cannon2 and pd2 and elelememesage at every single boss in the one siauliai mission i had time for this morning!
Just begin the job change thru the Advancement window. You’ll get a free warp to the NPC Master.

Congrats, not sure if I should work on my archer to mergen or my chaplain to whatever when I get home.
Falcon,SR,Canon and Musketeer are way better than Mergen.
K that’s the gist Im getting. Falcon, SR or Cannon, Ill probably have to completely reroll for my archer.

i’m happy with my falcon3, but also probably because of how much of a waste I had to spend all of circle2 of it and feel like a r6 class still.
