Final Class/Build Decisions

Hey all,

My brother and I have been doing a TON of research for the past 2 weeks on what classes/builds we want to run at release and we have narrowed it down to a few different things. This is the point where your input and opinions would be frickin’ awesome. Basically the information we are looking for at this point is: (1) what stat distribution would be best for each build? (2) how do these builds fare while leveling solo? (3) how do we builds fare in late-game group play?

I’m trying to decide between the following wizard builds:

  1. Wiz1/Cryo3/Chrono3
  2. Some type of Cryo/Psycho build. Need help on putting this together.
  3. Some type of Cryo/Linker build. Need help on putting this together.

My brother is just curious about how he would allocate his stats for this build: http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/darte8eeks/ and also if there any possible improvements to the build.

Build 1 is great, but u should get snowrolling o.O it is one of the best and fun skills for cryo 3 (gust is not that great so i would leave at level 1 or even none). It’s one of the bests support builds at the moment with chrono 3.

For cryo/psycho i’ve seen some savage builds aiming for PVP (wiz 1 - cryo 3 - psycho 2 - warlock for example) which are still playable in PvE, but i’m not sure what are u looking for exactly.

Cryo/linker u could run wizard 1 - cryo 3 - linker 2 - featherfoot/warlock if u like rank 7 classes and it would be a mix of support/utility with some damage (specially with warlock)

Dont know anything about cleric so =/
Take a look at other posts here in forum cause people discuss these builds ALOT

Thanks for the reply. If it isn’t too much to ask, what exactly would you change about build #1? Where would you dump the gust points into?

5 in snowrolling, probably 3 for maxing icepike and 1 u are free to choose xD (icewall maybe? not sure). Ice blast doesnt look good for now but u can get 1 point of it just for the roleplay.

Cant say much about chrono build cause i dont really know the class that much, so u can also research the best skill options out there if u want.

For PvE, might do okay on PvP as well.

This is my build

Change Alchemist for something else to get more damage.

Thanks for the reply. Do you think it’d be more beneficial to go to cryo3? Or get linker? Or something else? And what’s your thinking behind the 1:1 int:spr?

Necromancer seems good, why don’t you give it a shot?

SPR for Psychokinos is only good to a certain degree. Go for 2:1:1 - Int:Con:Spr until 150 and then go Int 3:1 Con.

I really like your build up until alchemist but I’m having a hard time deciding between going to cryo3 or maybe runecaster thrown in there?

If you go Cryo 3 you must get Rune Caster. +300% Ice Damage. But that’s 4 ranks right there.

You can try some crazy stuff like: Wiz>Cryo>PsychoC2>CryoC3>Rune Caster

Might work xD
