Filler for rank 4 (corsair)

Hi everyone i’m looking for the best filler choice in my sword3>x>corsair3>doppel farming prupose build. I’ve been thinking in 2 options

1.- barbarian (high str) plus damage, cleave for crit and slash afinity, gung ho way

2.- peltasta (high dex) good defense and evasion, (better equipment duration), can switch to shield to help tanking, party, provoke. Concentrate way

I’ll be thankfull for any comment quote or tip to help me to decide the way to take. I repeat this is all about farming prupose. And i wont change doppel for shinobi that is Not an option for me thank

The common build is Sw3-Bar-Cor3-Shi.

You don’t need to Provoke mobs you’ll be farming as that’s better suited for another set of classes.

Also, most of the people I see using the common build aren’t high STR but high DEX (with about 150~ish in STR for accuracy), going Lv15 Concentrate and Lv10 Restraint, the rest are your choice. Then again, they’re normally wearing an Aspana Revolver or Double Stack (these are reset-classes). For a startup, I’m not really sure how you’d fare.

Both choices are good, still barbarian gives u access to cleave which is IMO the best u can get atm for a R4 filler class.
3 OH with +50 Crit Rate and Slash Debuff. (Double Slash with Cleave together alone is very strong)
As a Doppel u will have access to cyclone which is another Slash Skill.

Picking Peltesta for Evasion isn´t a good choice since getting a high enough value of Evasion to see reliable Dodges is almost impossible. The +25% PDef from Pelta is indeed good, but i dont like using that skill while being a DPS, since ur PAtk gets decreased, and normaly with good gear survivng isnt that hard anymore.
Well picking Peltesta for Swash Buckling is perfectly fine, IF u realy wanna go grind and farm with this build. (I would not recommand this way for being a pure DPS, for grinding its viable, tho) BUT keep in mind that u´ll loose out on a bit of DPS. Also weapon switching from Shield to Dagger/Pistol is realy annoying. (I had to do this for almost 6 months and it was quite bothering…)

I have tried both builds in the reset event, I can comfortably say that pelt really does speed the farming process. I liked the high str pelt build, I personally only used swash in the whole pelt tree. The thing about swash is it really does prepare the mobs for a perfect pistol shot to clear them.

If you are after farming and farming only, go for pelt.

That build with hop2 seems fun, it is that a full str with lv15 gung ho?

mine is this Hopsair
120 dex and about 170 str at 256 lvl
