File System Error on Windows 10?

I just recently updated to Windows 10 and when I tried opening up the game through steam, the launcher doesn’t come up. Instead I get a file system error and doesn’t start it up. Is anyone else getting this or is it just me? I’ve tried reinstalling it but it doesn’t change a darn thing :expressionless:

Windows 10 here, no FS exception.

Do a chkdsk and verify the integrity of the game files through steam.

Windows 10 here, all fine.

Tried redownloading it?

I tried doing a chkdsk but it’s telling me I have I “do not sufficient privileges and invoke this utility running in elevated mode.” I validated the game and it went through okay

I’ve done that already lol

Did you run Command Prompt as administrator?

I actually found the problem, it was the windows audio service.
I had to disable it on Task Manager and for some odd apparent reason all my programs worked. :expressionless:

What’s the exact error message?

Right click on it, select ‘Run as Adminstrator’.

Odd… but hey, you’ve got it working. =)

Well I’ve been getting “file system error (-1073741819)” and I’ve been searching the cause of this reason. On some window’s forums, people have found the solution which was regarding to the “Windows Audio Service” or the audio driver. I hope they patch it up soon cause I won’t be able to enjoy any sounds if I play this game lol

Windows 10 here and didn’t have any issues at all.

Yeah I don’t understand how I’m getting issues with the Windows 10 but its working for some people :frowning:

Your drivers are outdated, go to your manufacturer website and check if they got updates there, if not, you gonna have to find by chipset, use some hardware info software, i recommend Aida64, then after checking wich chipset you got go on the chipset manufacturer for a driver update, if you cant find, try uninstall the driver and let windows try to redetect it and see if it got a driver, generaly this do the trick.
